Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Throughout the year, once a month,5 excoworkers meet to chew the fat.
This month's meeting was for the annual Christmas lunch.
One of our group suggested we visit Dunkeld and Birnam golf club.
Well we were certainly not disappointed, the food was absolutely delicious and the helpings were very generous.
If you are in the area and thinking of a nice venue for your friends or group, give this establishment a go.
Seriously good all round.

For the most people very friendly especially lady who we first spoke to and pointed out some of the early holes. Also catering and bar lady. But…. guy cutting tees edges and greens omg followed us for a few holes and never once when we were about to play or putt did he shut off the noisy machine or even acknowledge we were there. Bad mannered and inconsiderate. The course itself not for me but lovely views and for the most well kept apart from some greens.

Lovely meal in the Clubhouse. Phoned to book on a Sunday evening, good menu and a very tasty meal. Very well presented and most enjoyable. Very safe environment.
Would highly recommend. The views from the Clubhouse are stunning too.

Golf weekend in Pitlochry/Dunkeld area. Having first visited Golf course in April, it was good to be back playing this picturesque golf course. Cannot recommend it enough. Golf buggies are advised on this undulating course. I’m

Visited Dunkeld for the second time today. Unfortunately the first time I never made it onto the first tee due to heavy rain and course getting closed. Was excited to get back and it doesn't disappoint although the golf did at times.
You can not fault the greenkeepers at Dunkeld, course is in good condition and greens run very true. Course has fantastic views of the surrounding area. Course was very quiet for a sunny afternoon, a bit like my own course - potentially needs more out playing during the week.
Sampled the catering and clubhouse which was fine.
The original part of the course has some real card wrecking holes as I found out. Pars on most holes are well deserved. I suspect birdies are hard to come by until you get to know the course better. The extended part isn't as tough as a few holes are just straight drive and short iron compared to the strategic play required on most holes on the front nine. Don't let that put you off the course is well worth a visit. Well worth the green fee. Prepare for par 3 18th hole tee shot through a very narrow gap.
Enjoy.

Like most golf courses this courses needs your support it’s a lovely course tucked in the countryside with the most fantastic views.
You can see that the members and staff work hard to keep the course in the condition that it is in you could not fault the greens or the fairways.
We arrived in the afternoon so no catering or access to the club house or a place to get a drink after the round and enjoy the views.
I encourage all golfers if in the area to some along and support this club, put be warned it has teeth so bring extra balls with you

Great little golf club.quit bar .
Great place for outings
A few tricky holes. Buggy is not essential but it helps.

I have been travelling to Scotland for many years playing golf. Why i have never tried this course amazes me. From the drive upto the club to the drive back down is great. On entering the clubhouse, the view down the first fairway makes you reach for the camera. It plays long in parts, tricky in other parts.Need to read greens is a must or you are off the green again.
This course is a not too strenuous on the body only on your ability. On completion of the golf the Clubhouse is a welcome haven. Nothing too much for the staff. Meals spot on both before and after the round, friendly staff and a special thanks to the Sec/mamager for her advice.
Have a great game.
p.s. a selfie stick is a good piece of equipment

Yes. We have 6 Petrol Driven buggies for hire at £20 each.
Would I be able to play a round of 18 holes if I arrive at the golf course at 5pm on 17 Jun given the long daylight till 10pm?
