County Clays is one of the largest sporting clay pigeon ranges in the country and home to the highest shooting tower. We offer a wide range of shooting experiences with both simulated game and clay pigeon shooting available. All our instructors are APSI qualified, enabling us to tailor lessons to individuals needs and skill levels. Ideal for beginners new to the sport and individuals looking to progress and improve their shooting skills.

Having shot a few times now at county clays, our last trip up really did raise the bar. With a view to getting out shot gun licenses in the near future, Clark sorted us out with a selection of different guns to try before we make a purchase.
Angus was our coach for the afternoon and his shooting instruction was nothing short of fantastic. Massive thanks to both for making a fine afternoons shooting and will most certainly be back up soon.

We had an excellent time shooting with Clark at County Clays. The range is on a beautiful estate, with differing types of ‘birds’ to shoot. We were made very welcome from the first minute and Clark was an excellent instructor, professional and patient with novices, this made the whole experience very enjoyable.

Having been forced off the hills by the wind, we headed to County Clays for some practice. Cyril welcomed us to the most beautiful clay shoot we’d ever been to. He was an excellent instructor putting the less experienced at complete ease while also giving the more experienced shots accuracy improving tips. We can’t recommend this place enough.

We had an amazing time on the 28th of May. Thanks to the enthousiasm of Cyrill we really enjoyed the clay shooting. Even though it was our first time he made us feel like professionals! I reccomend this activity to anyone visiting this area

This was an excellent experience shooting clays in various background and different settings. Cyril my instructor was very thorough, knowledgeable and confident which, in turn, gave confidence to the participant. Would highly recommend this activity.

We had a great time shooting at County Clays with helpful and encouraging guidance from Cyril. We got to test three different stages with different difficulties and mechanics. Everyone in the family enjoyed themselves and felt safe and comfortable from start to finish. We would definitely recommend this for a fun outing with a hint of competitiveness.

Our mentor John was excellent in the introduction into clay pigeon shooting. One of us had never held a shotgun before never mind firing one.
John was very patient and assisted us greatly in hitting the clays.
The poor weather did not affect the shoot, so engrossed in hitting our targets.

My son and I shoot quite a bit in the USA but we wanted to see how the European clays were different being that we were on a family vacation in Scotland.
Being that we did not have a license, we booked a lesson which included the firearm, shells and everything we needed including a great instructor, Angus. Angus was amazing and challenged us with some amazing shots and helped with some pointers on things to work on and different ways to look at the birds.
The booking was very smooth and they were very helpful in getting us directions to the facility and other suggestions.

What a fantastic morning with Davie. A really great guy who looked after 9 of us so well. My elderly father in law is not very stable on his feet, but Davie made sure he was comfortable and that he could fully participate. Everyone we met was really friendly - there was clearly a strong focus on safety - and I would highly recommend this to anyone in the area.

Just wanted to thank you for your time,patience and expertise yesterday.
I have never shot as well as that ever and giving me some basic concepts to apply as well as precise problem solving advice made my experience very enjoyable.
I will attempt.to put into practice what you explained and I will look forward to.coming back up for a.couple more lessons broken by an overnight stay.
