We didn't pay to go in, just wandered around the outside, but we did it in the evening just as the sun was setting. We stopped in the Anchor for a drink and when dusk comes the Abbey is at its most atmospheric!
The Abbey is spectacular and well worth a visit especially if you love the Wordsworth poem. But we found the woman on reception to be very unfriendly. I stood with my dogs to the side while my husband queued for tickets. she shouted at me...More
Came here on 9th July with my partner we came early before it got too hot the Abbey is very impressive and the scenery surrounding it is stunning the people in the visitor centre were lovely and the shop is well stocked with high quality...More
This is a really special abbey, worth going to just to look out of the West transept window ..... a view to die for! See my pics.
Keep your car park ticket - costs 3 quid - because you get a refund in the shop...More
