Sitting on the banks of the River Wye and surrounded by outstanding natural beauty, the Abbey has to be one of the best attractions in Wales if not the UK. Awesome does not do the Abbey justice.

A morning visit to this attraction was definitely worth it, it was quiet & got loads of pictures, such an awesome place to visit, how highly recommendable & definitely worth a day out.

Grandiose doesn't begin to cover the majesty of this abbey. Even in ruins, the craftsmanship is mind boggling. and the surrounding country side is magnificent.

Even though it was raining when we visited we still stayed a couple of hours. The time soon flies with so much detail to take in and, due to the weather, we did not get to explore around the grounds or Tintern... More
