Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A nice walk along the line of the old railway which takes you down to the Warren. Easy flat walking, and a circular route which takes about 1 hour. Enjoy ….

The wwalk from the Hay Bridge to the Warren along the Wye River was very enjoyable. The river is beautiful and the walkway is well maintained and relatively flat. the sounds of birds can be heard everywhere.

Such a beautiful place, ideal for a picnic on a warm day, You won’t get views like this on any other beach.

I walked down to the warren on a Saturday morning and I loved it. Such a peaceful little spot to sit and enjoy the riverside views.
It would be great for a spot of wild swimming or a picnic. There is a pebbled area to sit on plenty of grass and some benches along the way.
I walked down from the town so no parking issues it’s a 10-15 minute walk with beautiful views

A lovely peaceful river bank with easy access. The bank is stony so take suitable shoes but on a hot day it's lovely and ideal for a picnic. Limited car parking available.

Great place to have a picnic and swim, paddle board, etc. There is loads of space to put down your picnic blanket and relax with a beer or glass of wine. The water is shallow, but it does have some rapids.

Perfect little spot. We arrived to a very small car park but luckily someone was leaving so we got a spot straight away. Short walk to the river with lots of sun but also lots of shade and a pebble beach, wear appropriate footwear as the river rocks will hurt bare feet. Both my boys enjoyed catching and releasing the small fish with their nets and the water was just lovely to paddle/swim! We walked into Hay-On-Wye for lunch and ice cream, 20min walk around the river. Will definitely be going back next time we visit Wales. Wasn’t too busy at all on a Friday in school holidays. Loved it. Few canoes going past and also dogs off leads in case that’s a problem for anyone, not us tho. People had set up bbqs and were enjoying it all day long.

Beautiful place to walk ,sit or swim and paddle.
You can take the car 1/3 of the way to a very small parking area but it’s a 10 minute walk from main road .
When we went there were dog walkers, a family swimming , a chap skimming stones .people reading and a couple sunbathing in the April sun !
There are seats dotted around and easy grass meadow walk to river and a beach of stones .

Really lovely river beach about 10 mins walk from Hay on Wye. Really fun to get in at the weir, float down and get out- walk back up the beach and start again.

The Warren was a refreshing and interesting walk, As it was really hot it was quite busy, but it was great to cool off in the river.. Very pretty area that takes you out of the bustle of the town.

Would the Warren be accessible for a wheelchair? I want to take my grandchildren and also my elderly mother there. Would we struggle to push the wheelchair there?

To be honest (without actually having tried to do this), I think it would be very difficult because you have to basically cross a field to get to the river. Someone else may be better placed to give you advice though if they have managed it.
