Tripadvisorās approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Having purchased a voucher for glass blowing session which understandably was cancelled due to Covid, I have emailed them several times but I have not had a response. It was a Christmas present so I am bitterly disappointed.

Well woth going on the 1 day beginners glass blowing course. If someone like me can come away with a paper weight, bauble and vase that I'm proud to say I made, then that just shows you how great Rowena and Paul are as teachers.
A very enjoyable day.

It's amazing that with no prior experience you can produce a vase, bauble and paperweight in a single day. The tutors are so patient and knowledgeable and really make this a fantastic day. You get to practice lots of techniques and you're always fully supported. This course is a must do!

Had a really good day. It's a full on hands on day with lots of learning. They were very good at ensuring all had good results but let everybody do as much as possible at the same time.

After receiving this great gift as a Christmas present I was delighted to experience the great hands on opportunity to create a very individual paper weight and bauble, Both Paul & Rowena took the time to explain and coach to make the hours enjoyable, I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for something unique to try.

I told her to select her favourite books and as we approached Hay, prepared her for her readings. Not sure she was excited!
Then, as we arrived at the studio, she exclaimed "Am I going to be glass blowing?".
She was blown over! (I do like to tease!)
What an excellent day it was.
Paul and Rowena were enormously attentive and took each of the three candidates through their various experiences. I watched from a distance and couldn't help admiring the dedication to each student as they progressed through the stages from simple to Wow!
Highly recommended. The follow up was great also except I now have to discover how to detach the great album of photos from Googles clutches!
Thank you both.

Myself, my sister and our friend took Paul and Rowenaās course for a 2nd time this year and we were equally as thrilled. As I said in my 1st review Paul and Rowena are fantastic teachers, very talented, lovely warm people and great fun. They encouraged us to be more creative with our designs and gave us such great support throughout the day, we were all delighted with our work which bears testament to their excellent teaching skills. I received my parcel (which was very carefully packed to keep the pieces safe) about 11 days after the course, the pieces are beautifully finished and and engraved by Paul and Rowena. The shop is full of their stunning work and this time I bought a gorgeous teal dome pendant lampshade. I highly recommend this course. I would love to do a 3rd course! Thank you Paul and Rowena.

An amazing afternoon with Paul and Rowena. Everything explained and demonstrated so well as we went along. Made a beautiful paperweight and a lovely blown bauble which both arrived by post today all securely packaged.
Have never done glass blowing before this visit but will certainly come back.
Thanks so much Paul and Rowena.

An absolutely brilliant experience, getting a brief insight into a very skilled craft with Paul & Rowena. You'll not stop showing people your baubles afterwards š

We had never thought of doing this but having booked a couple weeks away in Hay on Wye it came up in the things to do list and boy are we glad we did.
Paul and Rowena were amazing and gave us such a enthusiastic introduction to the art of glass work.
They were patient and demonstrated a skill set honed over many years.
We started with making glass āiciclesā and moved on to paperweights before breaking for lunch. In the afternoon we progressed to baubles and finished the day with a small coloured vase.... all of which now have pride of place in the house.
Highly recommended for a fun and creative day out!

Hello there,
If we bought our mum an experience day/half day, would she be allowed spectators?
Many thanks,
Natalie

Hello Natalie,
It would be no problem for your mother to have spectators for 15-20 mins, but there will be other students on the course and we have limited space. Also we have found that students need to concentrate without too many distractions to get the most from the course.
Hope you understand.
Many Thanks,
Paul.
