    Brilliant
Has everything your local park needs! Nice and clean. Has a muga, a park and a lake where your can go boating! Great birds there like mandarin ducks, red muscovy ducks and my personal favourite a rouen duck which Is like a massive mallard!

A great day out in Buxton
We visited the Easter Extravaganza event at the weekend and had a wonderful day! The venue had a large selection of stalls in the Octagon hall, fresh hot food on the promenade, an outside bar and a band playing on the Bandstand. Staff were friendly and polite and the facilities were clean. We will definitely be back to visit the next bank holiday event at the end of May!

    Really enjoyed our visit
Well done Buxton for ensuring such a varied beautiful space is so well maintained for locals and visitors alike. Gardens and buildings are great to explore and enjoy. Loved the planting in the conservatory, refreshments in the cafe and art gallery. Visited couple of times during our stay.

    Something for everyone.
Lovely green space to wander. There is a river and winding paths. A lake for pedal boats, playground and quiet places. Lots of ducks and geese too. In the Pavilion buildings there are places to eat and drink and peruse local crafts and artwork for sale. There is also a greenhouse to look inside. It's the starting point for tram tours of Buxton, so masses to keep you occupied. There is a large car park and it's only a 5 minute stroll out to the town itself.

Lovely gardens and flower beds, a real haven in a busy town.
Nice gardens, thought it would be bigger but very pretty and the kids loved running around. Some very pretty flower beds and lovely pond. The bandstand is great and some really good music was playing whilst we were there but the kids wanted to see the rest of the gardens etc… so didn’t get the name of the band playing. A nice break from walking around town. Will have to come back when the kids are older!

Really lovely park and building with arts and craft stalls.
Beautiful Pavillion building with small well stocked conservatory, on the park , with lake, children's play area and gorgeous collection of trees. Visited on our way back to Leeds, glad we did. Just a shame we visited 2 days before the Carnival, would have loved to see it, people were telling me it's fantastic. It's 8th June if you're interested.

    Beautiful
The gardens themselves are beautiful, with lakes, a canal, plenty of fowl, children's play areas, bridges, tunnels, a bandstand, and the pavilion itself is great. The let down was the toilets near the lake, dirty floors and no working locks on either cubicle. The next nearest toilet was in the car park, no seat. Finally I found decent clean toilets in the pavilion building itself.

    Wonderfully restored!
The Pavilion and gardens have been beautifully cared for and repurposed for all to use; whether the park, the cafe, the pool or just taking in the atmosphere. Suitable for all ages & stages. Lovely art work & gifts available too. Well worth a visit.

    The re-development is excellent
My wife and I only visit the town of Buxton once a year, and it was lovely to see how the Pavilion and the Octogon have been fully restored. The front entrance leading to the delightful flower and shrub area is now well kept, leading on to the cafe and bar, and on again to the lovely area for the various small trades and crafts. Money well spent, and lovely to visit. So, why only four stars, well sadly although the staff were pleasant enough, the queue for a simple coffe was very off putting, and sadly because of the childrens play area, there was certainly not a very relaxing atmosphere for those of more senior years. I personally feel that the pricing of all the food and beverages is far too expensive, but I may of course not be keeping up with the times !!

2 hot chocolates served in cardboard cup to sit inside, no cream, no marshmallows and no chocolate and two sausage rolls on dirty plates £12.40. The rude girls behind the counter forgot about my drinks and then after being reminded, passed me two manky cups of what looked like dishwater. They were too interested in gossiping and using their phones. Didn’t get a much better response or indeed an apology when I complained about the hot chocolates and even though I asked for the new drinks to be put in mugs, I was refused. I won’t be back again. Rather go and spend my money elsewhere.

We visited during a weekend stop over. The grounds and building are beautiful. It boasts a gift shop, coffee shop and conservatory where you can enter free of charge.

Lovely quaint open space which will well maintained. Fantastic for tourism for the local area, dog walks, and general head clearing. Parking is reasonable (although there is free street parking)

Called into the cafe for coffee and a hot chocolate. Found they didn’t take cash which is a pain (cash is king). They also don’t have tea spoons so getting the marsh mellows and cream off the drink was hard work with a wooden stick but the coffee and hot chocolate’s were nice.

Attended the bounce session run by Bradshaw amusements with my Grandaughter. Just outside is an ice cream place. My Grandaughter can't have milk or soy. I asked if they had vegan ice cream the answer was no, I asked if they had ice lollies they said no, I ask did they have slushie machine they said no. My grandchild had a drink but because she was playing and sweating I thought this may cool her down. What a poor service.

Had occasion to pass through today, unfortunately a car auction was being set up, therefore in my wheelchair I had to travel uphill and down dale all around the gardens. The people setting up were particularly unhelpful and had complete disregard for people that were less able.

Once all the hills bridges and footpaths had been negotiated you then tried to get through the carpark. that was when you found it was completely blockaded by commercial vehicles dropping off cars for auction

whoever arranged this for the 1st day o the school holidays really needs to have a look at the chaos caused.
