Visit to Pavilion Gardens Buxton, Derbyshire
Jun 2021 • Couples
Beautiful gardens beautifully kept. My wife from London immediately wanted to move here...! Would recommend anyone in the area to visit and the nearby Old Hall hotel is the oldest hotel in England.

Beautiful

Really lovely that these gardens are right in the heart of Buxton. Would have liked to linger longer but we had lots to do and only really had time to wander through a couple of times. Even on a sunny bank holiday Monday when it was really busy it was still quite beautiful and we could have found a quiet space if we wanted to.

Day in the gardens

Great way to spend an afternoon whether feeding the ducks or shopping or having lunch boating on the lake or riding the train sitting by the river 😊

Disappointing
Jan 2021
I have lived in Buxton all my life and the Pavilion Gardens WAS amazing. Where these people are from who give these amazing reviews I really don't know. I have watched the gardens go down and down over the last few years. It's beautiful resturaunt is now like a school dining hall and the gardens dreadful. Some, I know is due to weather but nothing has been done to improve things. It's not as good as it's made out to be.
I know after rains it is bound to look very wet but if no one is going to treat the gardens how can we ever get it as beautiful again

lovely relaxing stroll

A real safe house for a pleasurable stroll around theses lovely gardens. It was a warm sunny day, lots of people being very covid sensible, nice to see picnics and children paddling in the stream. Lovely place
