Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

For £20 per night you expect more than a basic shower block which accommodates not enough to support a huge campsite and certainly don't expect the veey noisy toilet waste removal tractor to turn at 23.45 on a saturday night waking up my family and other families camping too. When using the shower block to be told to wait until the cleaner has finished when the other shower cubicles were available is just not acceptable. Twice stayed here it'll probably be the last.

My husband and I visited here as we had always wanted to experience the majesty of birds of prey. We were not at all disappointed. In fact it by far exceeded our expectations. The knowledge and skill was outstanding as was the welcome we received. . Meeting all the birds in the aviary and being able to fly 4 birds was magical. Cannot recommend this experience highly enough. So pleased I found you.

I bought the owl experience for my Granddaughter and this was excellent. Dian was welcoming and so knowledgeable and skilled with the birds. We were given good information and met all the birds in the aviary. We had lovely refreshments and moved on to my granddaughter being able to fly the birds. What an amazing experience, the setting of the falconry is beautiful and the opportunity to see owls in flight was just beautiful. Many thanks Dian for a lovely experience. I would highly recommend this falconry and the experiences offered..

Can't comment on the falcons although we kept seeing something flying around, but this campsite is lovely, friendly and very well-maintained. Close to 2 pubs within walking, both very good and food exceptional.
The facilities here are clean and comprehensive, the setting idyllic and we shall be back in July. Well done The Fir Tree. Does not disappoint

I gave my husband one of the falconery experience and my little boy and myself went to watch with him. Dian was absolutely amazing. They are all really welcoming and they have mor birds than I could ever imagine!
The talk was absolutely brilliant, Dian is a real expert and the birds are so beautiful and respond to her as if they where part of her family!
Definitely recommended and we will be coming back!

Certainly a hot on this past bank holiday. Craving shade. First time ever to sleep with ALL the vents and will dowsing fully opened. Breathtaking views and all you hear is the birds. A thin slice of heaven.

Brilliant experience. Fabulous setting. Would recommend to anyone interested in birds of prey. Could be improved by being offered a coffee or cold drink at the end. Maybe a water cooler?
