My wife and I were having a few days away in a dog friendly holiday cottage just a hundred metres away from this lovely country pub. It was recommended in the cottage guide not just because it is also dog friendly but liked by the owners too. So we decided to go in for a meal which was deliciously flavoursome and we were made to feel very welcome. We hadn't intended to stay long after the meal but enjoyed chatting to John the landlord and the other locals so much that we stopped till nearly closing time. Our dog Meg also got lots of fuss, attention and doggy treats. When we come back down this way we will have to visit as much as possible, they really are working hard to put Greatworth on the map.

What a nice pub this was, friendly landlord and polite and attentive staff. The food was very nice, the cheeseburger highly recommended. I was even introduced to a new drink! Dog friendly.
