Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just had a really lovely day at this golf course. Excellent course with fantastic views, but unfortunately the greens had not yet recovered and were troubled by fusarium.
Friendly staff and even more friendly members. A wonderful day out with golfing friends

Without doubt a masterpiece. In excellent condition at the end of August 2021 this course rewards the thinking golfer and the straight hitter. There are some wonderful strategic par 4s but the par threes really stand out.
Definitely a must play.

We played between Christmas and new year when Tadmarton was almost the only playable course in Oxfordshire! Despaired the heavy rain in the preceding weeks, the course was in great condition. We had to play off mats, which I understand was to help the fairways complete their recovery from the damage caused in 2018 by the very long hot summer, but this didn’t spoil our experience.
The course is not long, but is challenging and every shot requires some thought. I loved the “natural” feel to the course - it has all the very best qualities of an English heathland layout.
The absolute icing on the cake was the welcome we received in the clubhouse. The menu was limited due to the Christmas period but even so, the food was great quality and the staff and other members were a pleasure to meet.
I would highly recommend this great golf club and will definitely be back - in fact several of us are considering membership

I have played this course many times over the years and have always enjoyed it. Sadly on the last two occasions I have played the course has not been in great shape. The fairways are about 60% bare and the greens lack consistency. My friends and I played on Friday the fee with County Cards was £30 normally a generous price, but not under the current course offering. The catering is legendary but sadly a power cut deprived us this time. I hope they recover the course and get it back to its former glory.

The drought in 2018 took its toll on our fine fescue grass fairways, a great deal of effort is being put into reseeding and the signs of recovery are evident although it is slow. A power cut surely did not help your experience--
Please contact the office and we will issue green fee vouchers and hopefully if you leave your visit till next year you will be able to enjoy Tadmarton again.

great course with short walks between green and tee. the short holes are difficult and a lot of fun. All holes need accuracy.

Set on the edge of the Cotswolds this pretty course ha much to offer. The club house is welcoming and the food was well presented. The course beomes more challenging as you weave through trees, gorse and sand. A great location for a game with freinds.

Four of us played here on an overcast, but warm, day at the end of September. I invited three others to join me, as my family had bought a voucher for 4 players.
We'd made a number of attempts to play here with busy schedules and weather, making planning difficult. All of my dealings with the club, and especially Matt Draper (assistant General Manager) was patient and exemplary. Well done.
Even though the course and greens had gone through it's Autumn work fairly recently, the course played really very well. Flat tees, lovely fairways, with the ball sitting up beautifully, and consistent if a little slow, greens - but consistent being more important.
We had a delicious lunch beforehand, with a great choice of homemade food, and the catering team excelled themselves after the round, by providing tea and a selection of cakes - even though they were closed!
So, to sum up. A great course, not long, but with some great dog-legs needing some planning off the tee. A very efficient back room staff. And excellent catering.
Do you need any more from a golfing day out? Not me.
I'll be back.

A group of 12 visited for a days golf. Had sandwich lunch and 2 course evening meal, food good for both.
Course excellent, and the work being done will make the course even better.
Wonderful views, helpful staff, a great day out.

Me and 7 friends came here January 2nd for too play 18 holes it was fantastic all round. The course is in superb condition for the winter and we all had a great day out. The clubhouse is very welcoming with good homely food and a good selection of beverages. This course is a hidden gem that we shall visit again.

I am glad you enjoyed both the golf course and clubhouse facilities. Tadmarton is a dry course generally, based on sand, so is an ideal winter venue. In the summer it can be a very different test with dry running fairways and small greens, challenging. Thank you very much for your positive feedback, we look forward to welcoming you again.

The views are just breathtaking, the location easy to get to via M40, the course was a little challenging for us but that's what it's about right..? I actually lost my 6 iron somewhere along the course, and this was handed in by a Good Samaritan and I look forward to picking it up. The only thing I would say was that the regular members seemed to be in a hurry as they knew the course very well and at times they did make us feel we are holding them up and also the score card we had did not contain the course map so at times we did seem a touch lost, but that's part of the fun when you discover a new place. A thoroughly enjoyable day out with some great views and the occasional good swing, a must for any keen golfer.

Glad you enjoyed the day and the challenge.
We do welcome green fee payers, subject to normal course closures, and hope they enjoy our inland links.
The "Natives" are friendly as a whole !
