Fantastic place to take children for £5!
This is such a little gem, the owners absolutely adore & are so passionate about their animals, you can sit down with a rabbit or Guinea pig on your lap, outside you can feed the chickens, goats, geese & ducks. Just lovely surroundings to bring your picnic too, while the children enjoy the animals & play area. The play area is fenced around it, with the animals overlooking. So cheap to get in £5 cash per person, where can you take children these days to pet animals & play, great value for money.

    Lovely rustic petting farm
We fell upon this little gem by accident. Our granddaughters loved it! If you're looking for a commercial (health and safety gone mad) themepark/ zoo then this isn't the place for you. Water Fowl is a lovely rustic family run petting farm, where children get the rare opportunity to experience animals close up and in their farm surroundings. It was bigger than we were expecting and the mother and son who own it were lovely and very knowledgeable. Thank you for a lovely experience. We'll definitely be back.

Such a lovely places. Back to basics
Myself, my husband and our 9 month old son visited and had such a lovely morning! Mabel and Rodney made us feel so welcome. The animals are clearly fantastically well Looked after and seem very happy. It’s a back to basics lovely place. It’s not a fancy, polished zoo, it’s much better than that! Clearly the animals are so loved and I hope people visit and love the place as much as we did. If you can donate to help with the running of the sanctuary and the feed for the animals please do!

Lovely family run farm with a variety of animals to see. The owners were extremely warm and welcoming and it was nice to see the animals.

Had a lovely visit to the wildlife sanctuary today. We were met very courteously by the owner who took us in and introduced us to the petting animals. We spent a good amount of time cuddling the rabbits and guinea pigs and an option to hold some chicks too. Very friendly and he let us know what was available to see around the farm . We had a nice wander feeding the chickens and geese and stroking the goats, Shetland ponies and donkey. The alpacas came close but preferred just to look at us as did the emus. A nice play area for children in the middle and a wooded trail around the edge of the farm where the geese and ducks came to see us .
Thoroughly enjoyed this little sanctuary and appreciated the effort the owner and volunteers put in to keeping it running and looking after the animals. Very reasonable entrance fee.
Well worth a visit.

Lots of chickens, goats, pigs, a donkey, llama etc. The water fowl were really suffering from the drought as their wetlands were almost completely dry. A lovely welcome from Mabel and Rodney and a most enjoyable hour wandering round. The baby animals in the petting area were super cute. Recommend this for anyone, especially children.

I don't normally leave reviews, but I felt I had to as we had such a lovely time here! Within seconds of being in the door we were offered to hold bunnies, chicks, guinea pigs and more. It was so nice and peaceful wandering through the grounds and feeding the animals, and our 2 year old had a great time playing in the playground where we also sat and had a picnic!

Yes, it's old fashioned and basic, but it adds to the feel of the place and didn't affect how much we enjoyed it at all- just remember it's cash only, and to bring your own food & drink! The lady and her son that own it were really kind and friendly, we'd definitely visit again if we were in the area.

A lovely small charming farm run by a lovely family. We felt very welcome and were allowed a lot of time to hold a variety of adorable animals! My four year old absolutely loved it.

Love it! It’s an original place, the owners love the the animals, you can cuddle the baby animals, walk round, feed the animals, there’s swings and some bits for children to play on, benches to sit at. Go and support them! They have a fundraiser on Saturday 9th April 2022 11am-5pm
