Cold food and overpriced
Oct 2021 • Couples
The staff are friendly and attentive but the food is below average and overpriced. We had two Sunday roasts which were mediocre, barely warm, and poor value for £12.95 each.

We went along for a coffee and stayed for lunch, friendly, and good food. We were spoilt by the service we received, very attentive.

Evening party
Aug 2019 • Friends
I had been invited to an evening party and we were fortunate that the evening was warm so we could sit outside, the seating was very good and plentiful. The main issue all evening was with the ‘young’ bar staff they obviously have not been trained comprehensively. We asked for a bottle of red wine and the girl got a bottle of white out of the fridge! We asked for a tomato juice with Worcester sauce, they did not have a clue what that was and offered Tabasco! One of them did find some but drowned it and my friend could not drink it. The drinks are very expensive, it is much better value to buy a bottle of wine. The food the venue provided was very good. A selection of rolls, sandwiches, sausage rolls, quiches, wedges etc. I didn’t really get involved in the disco as we sat outside but that seemed fine. If the bar staff could be trained it would be a good venue. You can park for free at night in the car park next door which is a bonus.

Celebratory afternoon tea
Jun 2019
Pre booked an afternoon tea for friends to celebrate a special birthday. Service attentive and welcoming. Food ok but the sandwiches were rather wedge like rather than fine finger food! Taste and quality good. Good value.

Very sedate and attractive park.

We used the park as our route to the beach, well planted areas, family friendly areas with plenty of seating, made for a lovely stroll.

Beautiful Beach house gardens
Jun 2019 • Couples
Delightful gardens with roses galore. Lots of benches and shade .
Has two war memorials one for battle of boars head and another quite unique for the part carrier pigeons played (Warrior birds) in the war [We did not know bombers carried 2 pigeons ].

Lovely for afternoon tea
Apr 2019 • Couples
Lovely salted caramel brownie and bakewell tart with tea. Good menu. We sat outside on the veranda as it was a lovely sunny day. Plenty of staff to assist.

Not as good as it used to be.
Mar 2019 • Couples
I often walk my dog through this park and, although pleasant enough, council cuts have mean that the gardens aren't as often maintained as they used to be and the range of plants and flowers isn't as good and colourful as it used to be. The loss of the Bowls championships to Leamington Spa has also been a blow and this has obviously contributed to the amount of maintenance. I'm no bowler but the greens never look as good as they used to be either. The cafe is nice and there's plenty of car parking to the rear of the park if you want to visit here or go to the Hospital.
