West Park is not only a beautiful green space but also an ideal spot for creative projects. We’ve filmed many of our videos here, and it’s easy to see why—it offers a picturesque setting with its well-maintained grounds, vibrant flower beds, and charming Victorian bandstand. The peaceful lake and open spaces make it perfect for both professional shoots and casual filming. Beyond that, it’s a great place to relax when we aren't refurbishing phones!

Lovely park, very well kept. Took our little Grandson to feed the squirels and duck. It was a miserable day, but the park was lovely, he loved it. Playground very nice. Will visit again, but in better weather.

Iv bought this to the park & the city councils attention but I was made to feel like
"Well it goes on , what can we do"
Well stop it and make it a priority to stop it, I take my young nieces & nephews and if I recognize the working girls from being there three times a week I'm sure the park staff know who they are the last time I could actually see the girls master bating a middle aged well dressed man in a blue jumper & it was so sparse of leaved due to it being early spring that there is no way the park staff could have missed it. It's a shame Iv been going there since I was 3 & I. In my 50's now

I went here in the summer to watch race of life and loved his park as a child however where have all the amazing flower beds gone?!?? Such a shame! Used to be a lovely spot to sit down. Also, so many drunks by the lake where I used to feed the swans!

Hi Q1137TDsimong ~ I'm sorry that you had a poor experience on your visit to the park. I'm not sure what events were on in the park during your visit or what time of day it was, but we would love to see you here again at some point. ^Wilf

With a lovely layout and many squirrels, this park seems to be well kept in comparison to others in the Wolverhampton area. The scenery gives people a glimpse of what life used to be like in Wolverhampton- but when you walk around the park itself and take notice of the people, it degrades the park a lot. With a lot of unemployed foreign nationals loitering throughout the day, you notice spit on the floor, cans of polish lager in the borders and russian cigarette packets everywhere. Visit, but don't expect anything special.

If its not the drunks in the shelter by the pond drunk and taking drugs its the yobs on the children's park no matter how busy the park is they are in that hut. I have been visiting this park for 20 years and its never ever changed, the duck pond is filthy and really needs cleaning. If they had people actually patrolling the park and moving them on it might brighten it up.

Hi Zoe K ~ Thank you for writing a review of the park. We're sad that you feel the park hasn't changed in 20 years as much time, effort and energy has gone into keeping the park as authentic as it was at its inception.

Wolverhampton is not the most stunning city to look at there are lots of places to go for a walk of a run, west park is a fairly large park just over the ring road from the city centre. its a good place to have a walk around by the lake to feed the ducks would not advise spending to long there. Be careful a lot of drunk people congregate around the boat house near the lake drinking alcohol not a sight for young children to be seeing, i would love to tell you the days you would be able to walk around with out drunken people shouting and swearing but they turn up when they like.

if you live close by a walk or a run its ideal, if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre (not saying its very busy anyway) then west park the closet place to go.

Hi Dazz T ~ Thank you for writing your review of the park. Whilst we do try to do everything that we can about poor behaviour in the park, the greatest weapon that we can use to combat it is by having more people in the park. On busy, sunny, summer days when the park is absolutely buzzing, we rarely hear reports of bad behaviour. Please keep supporting your local park by visiting us regularly. Together the wonderful Wulfrunians will help us to ensure that we have zero tolerance on bad behaviour. ^Wilf

Lovely and beautiful in some areas, great to picnic on warm sunny days with family or friends. ...... but be warned parking can be an issue as people park here for free, then walk into town for work or shopping. I no longer feel safe walking alone or with little ones as lots of people gathering drinking and smoking illegal substances from the smells throughout the day....I think alcohol should be banned in the park......also play area overcrowded and children run unsupervised. .....The park is a reflection of the changing and diversity of the now local community so different social behaviour can be witnessed at certain times of the day like urinating on trees and bushes and throwing rubbish anywhere!

Don't go alone, don't take or wear valuables. ....don't get me wrong it's a lovely park close to the city centre and local swimming pool, has a nice lake, good to run/jog around as circular/oval in shape ....but lake/pond needs a sturdy iron fence around it to be completely safe for children and the intoxicated individuals that veer very close to its edge.

I just visit now when they have a show on or a fair attraction? But still with family to be safe!

Airplane100 - It was uncomfortable to read your review. We would never want our visitors to feel unsafe. West Park does fall within a no-alcohol zone but we know that this not always a deterrent. Our resources are limited and when a ranger is available, they will make a polite request for a cessation to anti social behaviour. Our local bobbies have also proved very helpful in moving them on. We hope this doesn't prevent you from visiting us again soon. ^Wilf
