We went to the races for my 60th Birthday with friends. It was wonderful and the staff made my experience great, they were all very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be going there again. A definite 10 out of 10

We had a really good time at this Racing League event that had a brilliant atmosphere. Great for viewing the course and the paddock. All staff very friendly. The best was Stephan on the gate as we left. He has such enthusiasm and provided some of the best customer service I have had in a long time.

Attended a race meeting on a Monday afternoon in August. Booked three Grandstand tickets on line in advance. All staff were fantastic and helpful. Venue was clean and tidy and facilities ample for our needs. Confused over plastic glasses whether you get deposit back or your deposit taken off each round of drinks. This should be made clear via a notice at the bar. Parking very good and close to the course. Thank you Wolverhampton Races we had a great day and a few winners too.

Always a great place to go. The staff are brilliant and the food in the Horizons restaurant is fab. Racings not to bad either if you are winning!!

First visit, didn’t know what to expect. Pre booked parade ring restaurant package. Met by a super friendly chap on the turnstiles who showed us where to go. In the parade ring restaurant we were made very welcome by Elle who made our night. She made us very welcome and looked after us all night. Her hospitality was faultless. We had a great night, a super meal and will definitely be returning.

We booked a nights stay at the Holiday Inn wolverhampton as we had premier tickets for the Friday Night Race meet. Hotel room was spotless, checking in straight forward, staff lovely,
On entering our race lounge we were greeted by Jackie who was to be our hostess for the night. Wow, what a hostess, from taking our drinks order to bringing our food such a warm and willing host. Anthony on the bar was also magnificent. Nothing too much trouble fetching drinks from other bar areas to accomodate our needs. The customer service but more importantly warmth and freindliness made our night. Vegetarian curry pies spot on, mash peas and a jug of gravy topped off our experience.
Will deffo be back as we had such a lovely evening. We did win good on the betting, buf it was the human experience and connection with Jackie and Anthony that made our evening so special, both a credit to the establishment.

Great night out at the races paid for the premium seating area and it's worth it as you can sit outside on the balcony area to view racing and inside large tables if you can gran one early. You can also go down to the paddock area to see the horses before the race

Using the Horizons Restaurant for our evenings racing and staying at the attached Holiday Inn (see separate review) we had an unbridled view of the track.
This all weather course is run with maximum efficiency.
The restaurant is equally well run and the food excellent. Bets on races can be collected at your table and drinks are delivered too you. ( Note to bar staff a one inch head on Guinness isn't a pint of Guinness)

Jan 21 St race night I took a party of 10 most of which was there first visit to Wolverhampton....the weather was poor and I don't disagree with the abandonment of the meeting...but after looking up the rules of the jockey club it becomes quite clear that the only reason for going ahead with race four was to stop any refunds....this is quite despicable and a down right con....the race had barely finished and the event was abandoned...don't expect to see us again....

if you hire a box during a meeting for a birthday (approx 14 people) do you pay per person for a package or do you pay for the box plus food and drink costs ? What is the approx costs ..thanks

A hospitality box at Wolverhampton Racecourse costs £82.50 per person +VAT, and it includes four-course choice meal, admission, racecard, fully waitressed service, TV screen in private box and access to a shared balcony.
Drinks are not included in the price but can be purchased on the day. Alternatively, you can purchase a silver or gold drinks package which includes unlimited drinks from arrival to the start of the last race. Our silver package includes beer, wine & soft drinks and costs £41.66pp +vat, and our gold package includes beer, wine, house spirits & soft drinks for £49.99pp +vat.
