    Great day out
Really good day out, learned loads and the volunteers were so knowledgeable and approachable. Concorde “experience” is a must. The track, the cars, planes, buses, bikes and everything else were amazing. So pleased we went.

    Worthwhile & interesting visit
My partner & I visited Brooklands and had a great day, loads to see and do including walking sections of the original track. The volunteers were enthusiastic and very happy to talk about the exhibits, making anything they spoke about more interesting. If you like cars, bikes, planes or buses, this is the place to visit. Unfortunately Brooklands is far from where we live or we would visit more often. The only disappointment was the concord experience, we visited on a hot day so we sweated through the initial intro talk on the bus and again on-board concord ultimately leaving us unbearably hot and looking forward to getting off the plane.

    Great place to go
Brilliant. .something for everyone.. and free parking so no checking if overstaying parking and payment hassle. Easy to return to car for picnic etc and re enter venue. Very relaxed atmosphere and we have been several times and there is always more to see. We always leave not having seen everything which means we go again. Good for children too. Staff very helpful and nice .

Excellent and interesting piece of history
It's a pity that the sat nav takes you to a non visitor entrance and that their information sign then gives you the same wrong postcode to follow, but also suggests following brown signs, which we did, although it doesn''t tell you which way to turn out of that gate. It's on the same road as, but beyond, Mercedes Benz The car park is large and you enter via a footbridge. Once inside it's much larger than I expected and we didn't see everything, so it warrants more than one visit if you're interested in this kind of thing. There are shed and hangars to enter with plentiful information boards. Perhaps my only complaint on this would be that everything is squashed in together. It could do with more space. There are outside exhibits such as Concorde and other planes, some of which you can enter. The Concorde experience was good and an eye opener. We didn't get time to walk on the track or see the curve. The London Bus museum is now sited here as well, included in the admission so that's worth a look and I was fascinated by Barnes Wallis Stratosphere. The cafe however is terrible. The food was limited, poor and expensive for what it was - in my case a tepid tuna mayo baguette. The staff were especially rude. Staff elsewhere were very good, welcoming and informative.

    Well Organised Historic Site
We were given a 'red letter day' gift card for an anniversary which my wife and I recently used for a day out at Brooklands Museum. We have previously visited on a couple of occasions and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of looking around this famous site. There is much to see in the various areas, including bicycles, motorcycles, cars, racing cars, airplanes and even buses. The museum is well organised and laid out providing visitors with the site's detailed history and lots of information throughout the visitor experience with many helpful volunteers to assist with any questions. In addition to the many vehicles, the site itself is absolutely fascinating which includes the clubhouse, garages, bridges, ticket office, and of course the original racetrack with it's enormous banked bend. The clubhouse upstairs is for members and below is the 1930's styled Sunbeam Restaurant for hot & cold meals and drinks. Our gift included lunch which we enjoyed. Overall we had a lovely day arriving late morning and staying over 4 hours to explore and see the many new additions to the museum. Recommended.

Everything from Concord to London Buses
Visited again after a gap of five years and the museum was as impressive as ever. Good atmosphere , with lots of retired engineers around to give helpfull information. The original banked track still has a long way to go towards full restoration. Good cafe in a building with a 1930s atmosphere. Well worth a visit to support a museum that reminds us of past UK engineering achievements . Everything from Concord to London Buses.

A good day out spoilt by the cafe atmosphere
This is an interesting day out with all the history of the track and the aircraft history of brooklands. Lots of knowledgeable staff to help and answer questions. The Concorde tour and talk was great. One thing that really lets the whole place down was the cafe. It didn't have all food ready at 12.15 although that wasn't a big deal as there was still a lot of choice and what we had was very nice. However the hot chocolate was tepid chocolate. However it is not a comfortable or pleasant atmosphere with no music to soften the echo of the area so that you felt everybody could hear your conversation. It wasn't a busy day with only about 3 tables occupied but there were several other tables left uncleared and cleaned the whole time we were there which looked unsightly.

Fantastic day out for all ages
We came here for a family birthday treat (11 of us in total) with ages ranging from 11 to 83. There really was something for everyone and all ages had a great time looking at all the different forms of transport - many of us reminiscing about travel back in the 60s, 70s and 80s, whether by plane, bus, bike or car! The youngsters enjoyed the fast cars and looking at all the old vehicles. The volunteers in each of the hangers were very helpful in talking about the exhibits and answering all our questions. We went on a day with a special event but we missed some of it because we didn’t have an idea of the times. Perhaps these could be better displayed or explained as people check in? Because others had mentioned the cafe not being very good, we had brunch before going and then went for a nice tea in the nearby Brooklands hotel afterwards, so we would definitely recommend doing this and then enjoying your time at the museum in between.

    Amazing museum
Brilliant day out for adults and children. The staff are really friendly, knowledgable and always willing to help. So much to see and do on a day visit so return trips a must. The Concorde experience is amazing. Really interesting to hear the history and how the aeroplane works at supersonic speeds. There is nowhere in the world to see such a prestigious collection of aeroplanes, cars, motorbikes, bicycles and buses in the world. A magical day out for all and an inspiration for young children.

Gleeful exuberance for an engineering enthusiast
As an enthusiast of anything with an engine, I could scarcely contain my glee at Brooklands museum. There are vintage racing cars and bikes in the museum of the legendary Brooklands racing circuit (there is a part of the original banked circuit visible), and in the part of the site dedicated to Brooklands' aircraft manufacturing history there are several airliners that can be boarded and explored. There are also military aircraft that can be experienced as well. I personally enjoyed the display of aircraft engines, many of which are automated so you can see the workings. Included in the admission fee is entry to the London bus museum which is small but again, many of the exhibits can be boarded and viewed upclose. Well worth the admission fee.

The museum in itself is a very interesting place. You do get a map that you can follow but it would be nice if things were sign posted as you walk around.
The cafe is very expensive , mainly seld service and the food offering is not good. The trays were dirty and the tables greasy and sticky, for what they charge I would have expected it to be clean at least. I recommend if the day is not too cold to bring your own food and use the indoors picnic area that has tables and chairs where you can eat. It was cold in there today so I imagine it wouldn't be comfortable in winter.

We visited Brooklands on the 6th August, we booked online and arrived at our allotted time of 11:30 we where pleasantly greeted with no queue. We had our temperature checked and then advised on how the museum is organised and the restrictions and changes. We then walked through into the main walkway.

I have to be honest here, I have to give the highest praise to the volunteers and staff it is the safest I have felt since social distancing was required. They always had time to chat and talk, knowledge of some of the volunteers is simply staggering!

We've visited a few times previously and you could tell things had change but it made strangely a lot better. Voluteers pleasantly limited entry into the buildings but chatted with you while waiting 5mins. They asked but did not insist on face masks so that everyone felt comfortable we where very happy to oblige when indoors.

Somethings had to unavoidable closed or restricted but it was so obvious why, all of the wide open spaces had picnic benches scattered around wide apart so you could picnic or relax.

The absolute highlight of the visit was the live motorcar and motorbike demo on the pit straight no crowding and a really easy thing to find a spot and watch some amazing racing cars and bikes. It really did prove that this is very much a working museum and most of what your looking at is impeccable maintained to a fanatical standard by the volunteers you are hosted by and talk to.

We cannot complement Brooklands enough it was a fascinating day out with a very relaxed atmosphere and quite something to see such a collection of machines!!!!

We were given tickets to visit this museum as a Birthday gift and were delighted to see it reopened on Aug 1st. We booked in to the Brooklands hotel for the weekend to add to our adventure. We really enjoyed our half day visit to the museum. There were some parts still closed but the enthusiastic volunteers and staff helped to keep you safe and interested. Plenty to see and enjoy despite no hands on experiences. Concorde was available to visit but pre booking is essential and so we missed that opportunity as sadly when booking with our pre paid for tickets we were not offered that option.
Obviously a return visit when everything is available is a possibility but quite a distance for us to travel too otherwise.

Thanks, BobandMaggie60, we'll pass on your feedback to the team. We're sorry that you didn't get the chance to see Concorde, but as you say, you'll be coming back so we'll make sure to get you on board.

Despite limitations due to Covid restrictions this was a really excellent visit.

The staff were particularly friendly and were very informative on the various exhibits on show especially in the buildings holding the cars.

We did the Concorde experience which I really recommend - you are given some details on the plane development project and then enter the plane to see various exhibits.

Despite many of the "hands on" exhibits being closed because of Covid we still stayed over 3 hours and probably could have stayed another hour or so.

Really worth a visit.

Took my young daughter to visit the Brooklands Museum. This combined my passion for both historical race cars & aircraft. The staff & volunteers could not be faulted, all were very welcoming, passionate & welcoming, especially towards my young daughter who was allowed to sit in a range of the exhibits.
My only gripe would be the price, which I felt was rather hefty for what was actually there. The on-board Concorde experience in particular was not worth the additional fee (£6 per person). However, I had not realised that literally next door (2 minute walk between the 2) is Mercedes Benz World, which is free. I had no idea both museums were so close to each each other until we arrived there.
My advice to anyone wishing to visit would definitely be to plan to visit both, this way by effectively spreading the cost between both museums, it would be a far more worthwhile trip for the cost.

Bearing in mind that this museum has had to effect a major re-organisation to keep to Government guidelines for Covid 19 the majority of the exhibits are still all available to be enjoyed. It's true that one cannot go into the aeroplanes and explore them but it's to be expected.

Visitors follow a one way system but the way it has been arranged together with how the exhibits are orientated means that you are not missing out on 360 views. Very well done.

The volunteers have been very helpful in regulating the number of people safely flowing through the buildings and still make to time to provide a wealth of interesting information. They are very well informed and have the ability to make the exhibits come alive with stories. All credit goes to these enthusiasts and Brookland would be a lesser place without them.

Cannot wait till my next visit and now they are running vintage vehicles around it will make the visit even more atmospheric. The sight of an old vehicle being driven together with the noise and smell is evocative of days gone by. This sums up what Brooklands is all about.

Go and enjoy.

Firstly the access, from the car park it is on a level surface with a ramp to access the ticket office & shop area, the staff here were helpful and polite as they were in every other area of the museum. Access around the site is mainly easy with tarmac areas and concrete paths as well as grassed areas, however the further up you venture towards the old banked circuit there are some potholes and rough concrete areas but the site is constantly evolving, so just take a little more care and you will have no problems.
The museum as a whole has so much history for motoring enthusiasts to immerse themselves in return visits are a must, plus the aircraft display areas and the London Bus Museum for those who like their toys a bit bigger.
This was our fourth visit but our first to attend New Years Classic Gathering which with a 1000 vehicles on display it was well worth the visit.

Will we back for more? YOU BET

For me, the Concorde Experience was the highlight of my visit. Very inexpensive at £6 and £3 for my grandson, it was a real feel of what Concorde was actually like (I'm lucky to have actually flown on it). I felt really emotional sitting in the cabin with the simulated flight going on. But the magic wasn't lost on my grandson, who really grasped the passion for the aircraft too, although he'd never even heard of it until I booked to take him to Brooklands. For him, the highlight was the racing car simulator which was wonderful and there was no additional charge for this, or for the flight simulator which he also loved. It was a great day out, although the cafe was very badly organised with separate queues for drinks and hot food which was awkward meaning you needed to be holding a tray with hot drinks while waiting in another queue to order food - very dangerous with the number of kids around. I actually just put my drinks on a table and left my grandson there while queueing for food and to be fair, I just told the cashier what I wanted and asked her to add my drinks to the bill which she did without hassle. Food was expensive for what it was and another time I'd eat first or take a picnic as the food let the place down, but other than that it was a fabulous day out, well worth the money and lovely that the kids activities didn't always cost extra. Very nice and knowledgeable volunteers helping with the activities and the Concorde experience.

myself and 2 friends pre booked our visit with Maddie via the office , needed mobility scooters for 2 as well. arriving at 1pm thursday 8th July our Covid safe check in completeed Maddie met us a gave a quick run down about the best plan for us.. Excellent way to start our tour. we spent a few hours on the moto bikes and push bikes and 2 hours on the superb collection of vintage cars. day 2 and we spent our time on the aircraft section and bus musuem including a 30 minute tour of the local villages on a vintage bus for £2,00. as our time drew to a close another few minutes was spent looking and talking about the track and the banking and you hold your breath in awe of the classic cars and driver's of yesteryear. just time to have a quick few minutes in the shop to buy a souvenir and say a huge thank you to Maddie for all her help and a great well done to all the volunteers who keep this marvellous place alive and so immaculate as well.
thank you all. we shall return

My wife and I spent a most enjoyable day at this museum, much of which is outdoors.
If you like vintage cars, cycles, motorcycles, planes and buses and all matters associated, then this is the place for you. Highly recommend the Concorde experience. On the weekday we visited it was probably much less busy than say a Sat/Sun. and many enthusiastic volunteers were there to guide and answer questions on all topics.Ex-airline pilots were also on hand to give personal experiences of flying some of the planes which were displayed. Some of the old Brooklands race/test track still survives, which is fascinating.
We spent 5 hours there and probably didn't see everything. The Sunbeam cafe provides a welcome rest break for the weary.
Would definitely recommend a visit.
