- Sophie C8 contributionsPerfect day out!Me and my partner came here today just the two of us. What a fantastic day!! Suzie the guide was absolutely lovely. The animals are gorgeous, especially the giant rabbit Dolly. - Steve MGoostrey, United Kingdom52 contributionsGreat afternoon, lovely host, such cute animalsFantastic afternoon's adventure. Loved feeding the baby alpacas, walking the big ones, feeding the pygmy goats and petting the Shetland ponies. Suzie was great, let us have pretty much free range with them. Definitely recommended but, if it's been raining, bring wellies! Thanks for the lovely review. - Alison S1 contributionFabulous! We had a fabulous afternoon! Susie was very welcoming - she gave us lots of information about the animals and lots of time to enjoy interacting with them. We had a wide age range (19 to 85!) and Susie helped us all to join in. Having wellies to borrow was brilliant! - Paul FSt Helens, United Kingdom4 contributionsGreat day out! What a great day, better than expected. From start to finish we found the staff to be friendly and approachable, answering any questions we had. Our 15 year old daughter especially enjoyed the day. Petting and feeding the farm animals prior to taking the alpacas out was great. It was nice to have the opportunity to interact with the donkeys, pigs, chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs. We didn’t feel rushed at all. Susie took us out with the alpaca’s and was really chilled. Susie directed us when necessary and the rest of the time let us get on with enjoying the experience. Susie is obviously passionate about the alpacas and the business. - sheena72Manchester, United Kingdom1 contributionBrilliant...What a fab time me and my daughter had walking Ted and Bruce.. Overfall fab experience and all the other animals you can feed is brilliant, even being able to go in the pen with the pygmy goats but the one everyone wanted to kidnap was little Matilda the baby donkey - adorable.. The staff were brilliant too.. The experience is suitable for all ages, not just those with younger children, and I have already recommend to my work colleagues and I will definitely be going back again myself.. - Wander48263975561Huyton, United Kingdom1 contributionWalk, feed, and bond with alpacas!Upon arriving we were met by the friendly staff who welcomed and introduced us to the alpacas. You have to book ahead as there are limited spaces/alpacas per walk per group. After meeting plus feeding our furry companions and getting oriented, we set off across the adjacent fields on our walks, taking one alpaca per person on a lead. The alpacas are all socialised and used to people, they will not spit at you. They do have a pecking order amongst themselves and may spit at each other if one gets into the personal space of another, which can mean you catch some collateral spray 😂 Staff guide you through the entire process and are very knowledgeable of the animals too, answering any questions and providing some background history. Towards the end of the walk we were all given photo opportunities with our alpacas, either by ourselves or in our groups, taken directly on our phones by staff. When heading back down the alpacas like to have a trot, so you get to run back down with them - this was our favourite part! After our walks, we fed the baby goats some seeds out of the palms of our hands, having them kneel up to our waists to nibble on them. Guys - perhaps turn your body slightly to the side during this, otherwise you'll get hooves where you really don't want them (yes, this is from experience haha 🤣) Hygiene is taken seriously with handwashing facilities and a toilet available. Onsite is a small gift shop offering refreshments, souvenirs (like their wool!) and other local products like Cheshire honey. It was an absolutely outstanding experience that filled out hearts! We got outside for a few hours, bonded with the animals, enjoyed a shared group experience, and had lovely conversations with the staff. This is all a very new set up that they've built from scratch and they've achieved so much in just a year! Absolutely deserving of your support, you'll have the best time. Pick a day when the weather's nice or you may be in for a very muddy adventure instead!Wow what a fantastic review! Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a detailed review, we are extremely happy that you enjoyed your time with us and we hope to see you again soon!Written 14 May 2024This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 13 May 2024

Really lovely place! They have a variety of animals including alpacas, pigs, donkeys, giant rabbit, goats and reindeers 💞
It only cost us £10 to get a large selection of different types of foods to feed all the different animals. You get to interact a lot with them and the staff seemed really friendly!
They seem to provide good animal care and the animals welfare seems to be prioritised, and they are not just there to be advertised and stroked 24/7. It looked as though they get plenty of time to rest away from visitors too as this was something I was initially worried about at first before visiting. Definitely worth visiting 😊

The most amazing weekend imaginable. We took part in the 'wildcamping' experience at Woodlands Alpaca Farm. We arrived mid-afternoon and were warmly welcomed by the staff. We set up camp in a paddock in the middle of the farm with alpacas on one side, ponies on the second and reindeer on a third side - unbelievable! We visited the Pickering Arms a 5 min walk down the road for tea where the food was outstanding amd stopped off for a drink next door in the Little Manor. When we returned the day visitors had all left and we had the chance to explore the farm, meet the animals properly and give some of them a little snack for supper. The picnic table in our paddock was thoughtfully decorated and we had a citronella candle to keep away the bugs as the sun started to set. After a little stargazing we settled into our tent for a great night's sleep. The next morning we asked if we could help out and so we got the chance to work more closely with the donkeys, alpacas and goats and get a 'behind the scenes' look at what it takes to look after all these animals. What an opportunity, we loved it. We ended our experience taking part in the alpaca walk leading Bruce and Jasper who were both adorable! We were gutted to leave and will definitely be back. Thankyou so much Suzy and your partner for everything you did for us. You went above and beyond to make this an unforgettable experience.

Suzie was absolutely amazing and lovely when we came to see the alpacas (and all the other animals) today. She really put us at ease and we had a really lovely time with all of the animals who were adorable.
We booked the alpaca walk and got so much more, absolutely great especially for such a reasonable price.
Would recommend to anyone for a great day out, can imagine it would be lovely for kids too!!

Was actually really disappointed!
Booked this for my 2 year old! We booked in for 4.30 but didn’t get in until 5.15 and it was freezing - we just kept getting told that they had a big group of people and didn’t want to ruin our experience - unfortunately this did! We got in and waited in the barn for another 20 mins and didn’t actually get to meet Santa until 5.40!

Hello Soph thank you for taking the time out to leave us a review, I hope when you was in the barn your daughter liked meeting all the other little furry friends around the Christmas tree, that part is actually the beginning of the experience and then you follow on to Santa, we have no recognition of any one waiting that length of time before entering the barn, sorry you felt this way, maybe time ran over if it was bad weather and may of made others arrive late which would of made us run behind, we would never rush the little children along due to this, Christmas is to see them happy, and yes with all the excited little faces we may run behind, it is Christmas after all and we aim to give special time to the family’s. We do it in sections starting in the first barn, meeting Santa, receiving a gift and then on to meet/feed the reindeers, baby alpacas and others outside in their festive attire whilst eating marshmallows, you can see how if this may of happened when you visited us with so much going on, Once again sorry you didn’t feel the Christmas cheer! We will take note for next year.
Wishing you a Happy New Year!

We decided to book last minute and go to woodlands Alpaca farm on arrival we where greeted with a smile and a welcome from one of the team members. There was a lovely cat that also greeted us with a smile. We spent some time chatting about the different animals on the farm and gave the animals a little bit of food we met the chickens, rabbits, pigs,
Horses, goats and alpacas with the staff and we then went on a walk with the alpacas. Susie was our staff guide for the walk. Susie was very pleasant and chatted throughout the walk about the alpacas and all the animals to be fair it was excellent. I walked with Jasper and bow they where really calm and pleasant, Jasper has his own personality but in a good way bow was easy going on the walk. There was four of us attending and we would definitely recommend for family’s to go it’s a pleasant experience bringing you close to animals and nature thanks Susie and team.

We had the best time! Susie was a great host and we really enjoyed learning about the Alpacas and their personalities. We were perfect matches with the alpaca that suited us best.
Very impressed that although we were only booked in for alpaca walking it’s great value when you get to meet and feed all of the other animals there too.
We will definitely be back!

lovely place, nicely set out. great staff and all the animals seemed happy. great experience for a young family as all the animals were friendly. even in the rain we had a great time. Expensive for a child as child price is same as adult when booking online, we went with a 1 year old. Understand that its expensive to feed/keep the animals but a lower price for under 5's might be helpful?

I treated my sister to a walking with Alpacas experience and we were not disappointed. We were greeted by Suzanne who was very friendly and enthusiastic about what was to come. Our group was made up of 6 ladies who were all lovely and along with Suzanne, made the experience great fun. The Alpacas were gorgeous and so sweet, we walked and fed them and there was no pressure whatsoever to rush. We also got to feed the other animals which included reindeer, goats, pigs, donkeys, a miniature horse and a Shetland pony. All the animals were well cared for and Suzanne obviously loves her work and all the animals. It was a fantastic experience, made even better by Suzanne and the other ladies in our group. I would recommend it to anyone. We will certainly return. Many thanks to Suzanne and Greg from Woodlands Alpacas. Julie and Pat

We visited Woodlands Alpaca Farm in Warrington for the alpaca walking experience and had an absolutely fantastic time! From start to finish, it was a brilliant day out. We got to feed not only the alpacas but also the goats and pigs, which was such a fun and hands-on experience.
The walk itself was incredibly enjoyable—taking the alpacas for a stroll around the fields was a bit like walking a big, stubborn dog, but that added to the charm and the laughs!
Susie and the team were amazing and couldn’t do enough to make sure everyone was having a great time. There was no sense of being rushed, and after the walk, we were free to wander around at our own pace and spend more time playing with the animals.
I’d highly recommend this experience to anyone in the area. Whether you’re an animal lover or just looking for something a bit different to do, this is a brilliant choice!

Small walking group.. Tom greeted us and gave us time to get used to all the alpacas by giving us a bowl of mush food.. fed all the alpacas.. two baby ones and a few pregnant ones..we could choose which one we wanted to walk.. went a mile walking with them.. Tom told us that they enjoy walking and will dawdle on the way back by eating the grass .. the only thing that is a niggle is that it needs to be signposted better as we missed the turning, as did the others on the day.. there are donkeys and small horses, rabbits and cats too.. animal lover heaven!! Tom took some photos for us too.. very friendly and knowledgeable..would certainly recommend and return..
