Last did this about a year ago. Food and value excellent, service very good, very relaxing in a beautiful 1930's Pullman carriage. Would recommend to anyone

We returned to this special event with family this year and had the most amazing evening. It was so well run and organised and the whole experience exceeded expectations, even for those who had received glowing reports in advance. The food was great and although tricky to achieve silver service on a steam train was appreciated by everyone.

Great place for a relaxing dip into the past. My 10 year had a great time, and of course riding along in a steam loco is magical for the digital generation. We go at least twice a year. Highly, highly recommended.

From time to time I visit the Bluebell Railway to have a ride and a bite to eat. The railway itself is wonderful and well worth a visit but I have noticed in the past year the food in the Bessemer Arms has become more and more disappointing and uneatable. I'll start with the issues with the Breakfast dish, I'd... More

Very tasty and fresh carvery, with the usual choices of turkey, pork or roast beef: I had the latter which was pink and flavoursome. Plenty of vegetables and trimmings, cooked 'just right'. Can't say the room is terribly romantic, but the proximity of the trains and the awesome restoration of the station buildings and the trains themselves more than make... More

Last did this about seven years ago, even better know that they run into East Grinstead. Food excellent, service very good, very relaxing in a beautiful 1920's Pullman carriage. Would definitely do it again

Took the evening train for a Golden Arrow Pullman meal, fantastic! Service excellent, staff attentive, food wonderful, overall experience was fabulous, definitely recommend if you're up for some fine dining while travelling in period accommodation that's been beautifully renovated

A visit to The Bluebell Railway is always worthwhile, regardless of whether there is a special event on or not. The trains are always well presented and, together with the beautifully kept stations, evoke the long gone age of steam. Volunteers there are always happy to talk about their work there and the organisation itself. Riding along the line from... More

The day I visited the bluebell railway was such a great day because of the frendly staff, the beautiful preserved stations and the locos. The locomotive shed that you can walk around in is amazing because you can just get up close to the power of the locos

I loved this attraction, there was an open log fire burning in the station and an old ticket inspector with the old black hat and everything! Old suitcases on trolleys at the stations, old fire buckets and telephone boxes. The driver even let people into his cab to see the furnace and he as dressed the part too. Stunning views... More
