Our grandson loved it, (and so did I)

Great little steam railway. There are plenty of static steamers to look at and a very interesting museum. We just got platform tickets and watched the steam engine arrive and depart. When the train arrives the engine decouples and then runs to the other end of the train. We had the added bonus of the engine stopping to refill with... More

We visited with our friends who are steam railway enthusiasts. The day was thoroughly enjoyable. The cafe on site served freshly made food which was delicious and reasonably priced. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The premises were clean and well kept. Town centre a bit of an uphill walk so we were unable to walk there.... More

Had the pleasure of going on the Golden Arrow Pullman dining train the Sunday just gone and it was unbelievable. Was an Xmas present from the parents for myself & GF. From the minute we were shown to our seats in the Christine Carriage we were in awe. The table setting was beautiful, lovely old school feel to the carriage... More

There is something for everyone here. Lovely preserved locomotives, coaches and wagons. Very friendly staff and it was lovely to travel along the line in May to see the sea of bluebells by the trackside. A great family day out - you must visit!

We had actually been to Sheffield Park Opposite for a winter walk and decided to pop over to the Railway Cafe. Car parking is free and the station is open even when the trains arnt running. You can look around and see the trains in the sidings then visit the cafe for a mug of tea and a snack or... More

I arranged a trip for 15 elderly residents to the Bluebell, it was really lovely. The surrounds themselves are like stepping back in time, attention to detail in everything is apparent and a true delight to see and enjoy. The trains are everything you would expect, wheel chair accessible and the ride is through scenic countryside. The conductor who was... More

The Bluebell Railway has to be one of, if not THE, best steam railways in the UK. Absolutely everything is recreated right down to the finest detail and it;s like being transported back in time to the 1940s when steam ruled the rails. Kids and adults will love the atmosphere and getting up close to the steam engines in all... More

My partner and I joined the Brighton Bell at the end of December for a lunch trip. The pleasure started at the station entrance with a warm welcome, open fire and a lovely ambience. The train was Immaculate. Perfectly restored and beautifully laid out for a silve service lunch. Great staff, very good food and beautifully presented. Although we only... More

Me and my brother (my brother especially) enjoyed coming here to see all of the trains and it was fabulous, all the staff smiled and waved and gave all the precise information we needed.

Absolutely appalled- having done this for 10 years and become a bit of a family tradition!!! Firstly obviously have less trains running as booked 2 days into lines going live and no 1st Class left so booked 3rd class for 9. On arrival our seats had been allocated to someone else and with no apology we were ushered to a... More
