Great days experience making our gin, from raw ingredients in a proper copper stil, expert friendly tuition and advice on ingredients and blends. We had a double G&T on arrival, another whilst distilling our gin (along with samples from the Salcombe Gin and rum range) and then a bespoke G&T made with our gin and recommend serving suggestions once we were done. We will be back next year for Rum School!!

OMG, what a great afternoon at Salcombe Gin ! We were welcomed by Jason and Andy who gave us a tour of the distillery and then took us into the distilling room where we created our own Gins. Both Jason and Andy have an amazing knowledge of the process and oozed enthusiasm and passion - the number of botanicals we could select from was outstanding and our resultant Christmas Gin was fabulous flavoured with vanilla, cranberries, cinnamon plus lots more botanicals added to the essential juniper berries. We enjoyed a G & T on arrival, a pink Gin whilst distilling as well as a home-made limoncello and then we were advised on the mixers and garnish that we should use to compliment our own gins. A great way to spend an afternoon but especially a wet one !!

Fantastic gin tour and tasting. We wanted to book last minute and the website was only showing 1 available slot, I emailed the customer service team who called me back the next day and fit us in on the Tuesday tour which was amazing! The tour was really good although not the biggest it was very in depth on how they make the gin, rum and non alcoholic drinks all from the 1 still. You sit in the main area where all the Salcombe spirit is distilled. After you have asked all your questions you get taken into the main bar where you start the gin tasting you try a selection of gins, add tonics and then garnishment and experience how that changes the drink at each stage. After the tour you are welcome to stay in the bar and enjoy as many drinks as you wish! Would definitely recommend it if you are into gin/rum

Bought gin gift for sailing friends about to tie the knot. As donation from sales of this particular gin to RNLI with lovely glasses engraved with 'born of the sea' seemed personal and apt. Very helpful and great service. Good to purchase something made in the town - slightly off the beaten track.

Staff were very knowledgeable and made the experience what it was, helped us understand how to make gin also making the right choice for our gin based on what we enjoy! This far exceeded our expectation, we had such fun! Thanks too all!

This was our second time attending SDC's Gin School - the first being back in June '19. It's a very fun way to learn about gin and to experiment with making your own. On both occasions we loved being able to make our own recipe but also appreciated the guidance of the staff in how we might adjust an ingredient or two to improve the final flavour. Getting to take away your very own bottle of gin to savour at home is such a special treat. You also get to sample SDC's gins, so it's a very jolly afternoon! The lesson might seem a bit expensive, but it really is worth every penny. I hope we get to go back in another few years and try out yet another new recipe!

Booked the gin school experience for my sister's hen party. It was amazing! The team were really enthusiastic and welcoming, it was great to see how the distillery process worked and it was so much fun to make our own gin! Hospitality was second to none. Was definitely perfect for our small party of four!

Thank you team. The Gin class was absolutely brilliant fun. Learned so much about the company as a whole and the production of it's delicious different Gins and stills and about all the different botanicals and combinations. You are then guided through the process of creating your very own "brew" Met some very lovely people also enjoying the experience. Totally recommend you try it, even if you say you don't like gin ...you'll soon be converted.

What a fantastic experience, a fascinating insight into gin making including hands on ‘make your own gin’ with our own label on the bottle !! We were in a large group of couples but we’re all looked after so well. Learned so much and would definitely do again and very happy to recommend

Bought the Salcombe Gin School experience for my husband’s birthday and it was brilliant! Both thoroughly enjoyed the whole session. Welcomed with a G&T followed by a talk about distilling and into a Gin making Class. Really good fun and informative.. we distilled our “own brand” Gin and bought home our bottled beautifully boxed with a personalised label… well worth it and would definitely recommend…
