Would well recommend a visit to this informative centre. Lots of information, photographs and artifacts. We picked the wrong session as they were having to shut early as the crew from the recently adopted HMS Magpie were coming for buffet lunch.

Easily located this small museum is packed with all sorts of maritime items especially many pictures of local interest , and collected items from local wrecks. A jolly good place to pass an hour or so.

The small museum is very much based on local maritime history. There are some very moving stories of local men who lost their lives at sea and some very interesting relics and finds from local wrecks. The small entry fee is very much worthwhile.

Small museum devoted to Salcombe's maritime history which is typical of its ilk - staffed by a very friendly curator and jammed with, not stunning exhibits, but ordinary objects with a local back story and tales of human sacrifice and endeavour. All for £2
