About
Welcome to Truffles Deli. Set right in the heart of the Wye Valley, Ross-on-Wye sits on the famous sandstone cliffs over looking the river Wye. There nestled on the cobbled high street which leads from the market square to the river, Truffles Deli is a foodie haven for young and old alike. Stocking everything a deli should and more, you'll find Cheeses, Cakes, condiments, Olives and Drinks in abundance. If that wasn't enough we also sell home made sandwiches that are made to order, home made soup and a selection of salads to either takeaway or eat in our secret courtyard. This is all made in our own kitchen at the back of the deli where you can see our team hard at work. As well as stocking the best of Herefordshire and surrounding counties we also stock some great Italian and Spanish lines. We make most of our own cakes, quiches, salads and pastries right here in the shop, customers often ask us if we can bottle the smell of the shop! We hope to see you soon.

    Fabulous!
Went twice during stay near Ross-on-Wye! Great range of sandwiches made to order with some very nice options for veggies and vegans. Very good service. Lovely atmosphere both inside and in courtyard. Loads of treats to buy to take away. Beautiful Brie! Love little biscuit with hot drinks which you can buy a bag of. Fab place!

Best place for coffee in Ross on Wye
This is a gem with a great courtyard at the back, some of it covered. Great coffee and food . The shop is an aladins cave of cakes, cheeses and gins to name but s few. We 6 just stopped for coffee and then stayed for lunch.

    A Great Find
What a find! Tucked away on the high street, this gem of a deli does not disappoint. Sat in the courtyard for lunch, delicious freshly prepared food. Had to then buy a selection of amazing tidbits, gin, and other lovely food to take home. Very friendly with great service, do not miss this place!

Truffles is a wonderful shop cum cafe cum deli and it’s packed with great things to eat and drink in a lovely environment. I would really recommend it for everything except the coffee.
Our flat white was over extracted and therefore bitter. The milk was frothy like a cappuccino and served in a separate jug so it couldn't be said to be a flat white at all. It would only take a little tweaking to dial in the correct grind for the beans and to work on the microfoam. I really like independent shops and the business shows great knowledge in everything else they do but the truth is you can get a better coffee at Costa. Maybe someone could go on a barista day course and then share with the team!

We stopped here a few months back but only just leaving a review. Thought about the sandwich I had here weekly since May!

A gorgeous deli, very friendly service and out of this world sandwiches. I had roasted vegetables with goats' cheese and a chilli jam/chutney. Beautiful bread, generously filled with a side of crisps and an excellent salad which actually seemed to have been thought through (salads are almost always just an afterthought).

Irritated my wife for the best part of a week talking about how much I enjoyed eating here. Will be back one day hopefully. Thanks.

Ordered a sandwich to take away asked to wait in the courtyard to the side of the Deli.

With it taking 15 minutes to get our sandwich the small courtyard filed to capacity quickly and social distancing became impossible.

Food was excellent and not over priced.

Given the crowds in Ross over the peak holiday period I would suggest giving it a miss due to the lack of space around the village and none existent social distancing , if your grabbing a bite to eat from the Deli head down to the river to eat your fare crowd free.

We were hungry and weary when we came across Truffles after a long walk in the valley. What a find it was: the welcome was very warm, we relaxed and ate our way through paninis and jacket potatoes with prawns and avocado, lemon drizzle cake, chocolate and banana cake. The coffee was top notch (and nice big cups!). They sell fresh local cheeses too but didn’t partake this time. Wish I had a Truffles near me - it’s streets ahead of your average deli, I wouldn’t miss it if you’re in Ross...

What a fabulous find. All the food looked and tasted delicious. Very welcoming with our spaniel who was allowed inside. Had a sandwich with crisps and salad. Followed by a fruit and cherry slab with lemon drizzle on top. This is a place to definitely take a visit.

Always a joy to visit. Great range of home made sandwiches served with a smile. Not many tables inside though so be aware when you visit.

Lovely little deli/cafe with some seating in the shop itself and some in a courtyard accessed from the side of the shop.
There is an awesome selection of sweet and savoury snacks, all of which look home-made rather than the usual commercial bakes.
We had a light lunch, sandwich and a jacket potato, the portions were generous and the quality was excellent.
There is a good selection of local alcohol for sale as well as traditional deli bits and pieces.
The staff were friendly and efficient.
Excellent (shame it is 4 hours away from home).
