We had a pleasant walk down well marked paths in this wood. The Knightwood tree was not very imposing, probably better to see in the summer when its got more leaves

The car park is well signed. From the car park it is a short walk to the tree over a well maintained path. We expected such an old oak tree to be larger! But well worth a short visit!

Having just read 'The hidden life of trees' and thoroughly enjoyed it, I find it hard not to be humbled by any ancient tree. Knightwood ain't pretty but imagine what it's seen over the years! Enjoyed our visit!

we were surprised and gaping in awe in front of these majestic trees. Excellent conservation. Great respect for nature. The New Forest truly deserves a visit at any time during the year.

It is incredible to look at such an old tree and you think of all the stories this tree could tell if it could speak. It's hard to believe it's still there after all those years.

This is possibly the biggest oak I have seen. Not a pretty tree, but a big one. It is somewhat difficult to find, as the main road doesn't have any signs to it - you have to know where to turn and then once at...More
