Nice accessible central old pier with the usual range of activities, good view of the harbour and marine traffic and to the wide sand beach stretching south.

Looks nice and inviting on the outside with statues and water fountain but a real old run down arcade area inside It's ok but looks like its years old with dirty carpets and chipped faded paintwork. You can walk along the pier. Views around are stunning. Gift shop / tea hut wasn't even open. Nothing like a good makeover would attract so many more people I'm sure.

As you can tell by it's name the South Pier is on the south side of the town. The entrance looks inviting with statues outside along with a fountain which shoots jets of water at random intervals. There is a small amusement arcade as well. You can walk down the pier towards the North Sea. Apart from the RNLI shop that's about it.

Enjoyed this level walk along the sea front. It seems to be well kept and not too far out of the town.
