Gauntlet, Eagle & Vulture park is the largest bird of prey park in the Northwest of England. With over 120 birds of prey, ranging from the smallest owls to the worlds largest eagle and Vultures it really is a haven for animal lovers. Gauntlet has two daily shows at 12.30 and 3 during the months March-Oct and during the winter months weekends only. As well as our two daily displays we have vulture feeding and meet & greet. We have a large children's play area with plenty of room for picnics. We are on the same site as Fryers garden centre and you can leave at anytime and come back for our displays. For those wishing to get closer we have bird of prey experiences which are run 7 days a week throughout the year. This gives people the opportunity to handle and fly the birds.

Took my two daughters and their friends. The birds of prey are so beautiful and a real thrill to hold. One of my daughters was a little unsure but when she took the chance she really enjoyed it. They would all love to do it again !

We visited on a very cold Sunday afternoon, but still had an interesting afternoon. The staff were all pleasant, helpful and very knowledgable about all the different species in the collection. All the birds are in excellent condition and much loved by their keepers. Some of the collection is based at Knowsley Safari Park. The 2 flying displays in the... More

We visited on a cold Sunday, but were dressed appropriately. We were surprise at the selection and quantity of birds. We stay for about 3-4 hours, having arrive towards the later end of the first display. Having had a good look around the the birds, we then got to listen to the talk and meet a few of the birds.... I bought the half day experience as a present for my boyfriends birthday and it was fantastic. I never knew this place existed until I searched online for a birds of prey experience. It has been around for 20 years, they have around 270 birds here. I booked on as a spectator and I had just as much time around... More

I have visited quite a few birds of prey centres and this one was particularly good. We saw one of their flying displays which was fun and interactive. They also had other animals to see including some mischievous meerkats.

Thank 1sammi
