We had an amazing day with Kinlay. He is extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We covered a lot of ground- both figuratively and literally. From the Neolithic period (Skara Brae) to WW II military history (Churchill barriers and the Italian Chapel). Just fabulous. Highly recommend this tour company. Would rate this as a six, if possible.

Kinlay is a really nice man, 6ft 7ins of bearded viking cum second row forward but with great charm and incredible knowledge on all things neolithic, viking and relating to modern wartime on Orkney. We had a wonderful tour, relaxed and very enjoyable and have no hesitation in offering our recommendation. The mystical experience at the Stones of Stenness will live... More

Prior arrangements were made rapidly and efficiently, and the one day tour was tailor made for us. The ancient world heritage sites and St Magnus Cathedral were explained with knowledge and gusto. Kinlay is well equipped and considerate, pre booking Maeshowe so we need not wait, and setting up the timing of the Skara Brae visit before the first of... More

We spent two weeks with Kinlay in 2016 and thought he did such a tremendous job of guiding us around Orkney that we rebooked him for another two weeks in April, 2017. Orkney is a beautiful group of islands -- full of history, nature and amazing things to see. Kinlay knows a great deal about all of it, whether it... More

Kinlay took a group of us out for the day on a tour around some of the most magnificent spots of Orkney and enriched us with his knowledge and passion for wartime history (1st and 2nd), enchanting Viking stories and the tales of Orkney's ancient civilisation. It was a superb tour and one I would take again to spend more... More

This was our first trip to Orkney. Kinlay showed us the all 'mainland' highlights. I especially enjoyed the sites with relevance to the world wars and hearing about the impact they had on the island. Kinlay's knowledge of Orkney is extensive and I would highly recommend booking a tour with him!
