Hazel & Helen look after all that sail on the Valhalla. Always there to offer indepth local knowledge on dive sites or the best places to explore on surface intervals. The love and care that gets put into running this operation oozes out of every pore of this vessel if you're fortunate enough to join it.
A very comfortable stay and well catered for if you have any dietary requirements, given notice of course.
Good facilities on board for kit storage and set up, with safety comsiderarions paramount in all operations.
Both Hazel and Helen have a huge wealth of knowledge about the wrecks, the history and the marine life you'll see on your underwater adventures.
Will definitely book with them again.

I’ve using Orkney and Shetland charters since 2017, usually doing 1-2 week long trips a year to Scapa, Shetlands or Norway.
The boat is always comfortable and well equipped. Hazel strikes an excellent balance as a skipper at getting you to the good dive sites and ensuring everything is done safely. The dive briefs are always very informative and very funny.
Helen cooks amazing food that is best described as home cooked and hearty. Puds are amazing and if you want there’s the most over-the-top hot chocolates (or other drinks) ready for you when you slip your rig off after a dive.

All the crew go to great lengths to make the diving aboard extremely enjoyable and safe.

Another fabulous week on board Valhalla diving in Shetland.
Hazel, Helen and Brandon are incredibly knowledgeable about all things diving and the local area both above and below water.
Nothing is ever too much trouble for them and you always feel you're in safe hands.
Valhalla is a comfortable boat with plenty of storage space for dive kit and it is always great to have Helen's cooking waiting for you in the surface interval and at the end of a long dive day. Oh and 'hot chocolate ++' should be standard after any dive!
A very slick operation and I hope to have many more successful trips with them. Thank you!

One of the best liveaboards I have been on. Norway wreck trip was superb. Great boat, really helpful and well organised crew and great briefings and skipper skills leaving me very confident in the water. Food was lovely and really tasty. All very special. Hard to find negatives. Every serious wreck diver should do the Norway trip. Great boat. Exactly how it should be.

We had a wonderful week on the MV Valhalla with great dives made possible by an outstanding team on board. Hazel, Helen and Phil ensure that you have an exceptional week under and over the surface. They are great hosts, always willing to help and not to forget the food that was delicious every day. There seems to be no problem, that can't be solved. As our baggages did not come with us (it arrived two days later) they organised in 2 hours complete divegear so we did not miss one dive. They also organised pants, T-Hirts, socks and trousers so that we had clothes to change. Don't hesitate to book the MV Valhalla, it will be one of the best dive experiences you can make. Thank you Hazel, Helen and Phil for this wonderfull week. Patrick

If you want to dive the remains of the WW1 German fleet in Scapa Flow, Orkney, or dive well beyond, then Hazel and her crew are the obvious choice.

Just spent a week diving from Valhalla (their other dive boat) and would recommend them any time. Well organised, professional, extremely well kitted out and a very comfortable boat. Andy over-fed us of course, but that was largely self-inflicted and very welcome.

Their extensive knowledge of the layout of the wrecks was put to good use to plan our filming and target the shots we were after. The dive lift made things very easy for getting back on board, even with heavy cameras, extra cylinders and the additional weight of Andy's cooking.

Big thank yous to Hazel, Helen, Hannah, Andy and Donald (and the dog x).

My buddy and I have just left the MV Valkyrie where we enjoyed a weeks diving on the wrecks of the WW1 German High Seas Fleet in Scapa Flow.

What an AMAZING time we had. The wrecks were sublime, and even though we were only diving on 15L cylinders with air all week, we got an awesome perspective of the wrecks and don't feel that we missed out by not diving with nitrox or by having larger cylinders - indeed, the chaps with us diving twin 12s and on nitrox only racked up an extra hour of bottom time over the week.

Our thanks go to Hazel, Helen, Nick, Vasco, Paddy & Jacob for their brilliant hospitality. The diving was well organised, well briefed, and the deck management was excellent. The boat was clean, the beds were comfy, and the food was great! They have also accommodated the additional requirements for Covid19 very well.

Thank you for an AMAZING time.....we'll be back again soon hopefully!

I have dived from Valkyrie many many times over the years and the service and attention to detail never fail to amaze me . This year we had 4 lads over from China and they were blown away by the whole experience. I am sure it won’t be too long before I am on board again
