An amazing tour once again. The tour guide was so friendly, funny and knowledgeable. The tour is great for children and families and is definitively not boring. Had something for everyone and the tour was so immersive (really felt as though you were stepping through time). Every time I go on the tour I always learn something new and the tour guides are always willing to engage in conversation. Definitely worth it especially with some tea and cakes and the end in the cafe.

This was my second time on the Seabirds and Seals trip to Noss Nature reserve as we had visitors from the USA and it really is one of Shetlands must do trips. One of our guests is a little unsteady on her feet so Seabird is the perfect boat for that as it is very stable with plenty of seats and being able to move around to see the sights on each side. I had forgot how amazingly close you get to the gannet colonies and the all the other seabirds too. There were seals basking in the sun on ledges and a quick glimps of an otter for the eagle eyed among us. We even saw a minke whale on the way back into the harbour which made the trip for everyone on board. The stories from Marie the guide were great (even for a local) and the skipper Marvyn managed to guide us in to the Orkney Man's Cave and through the arch "The Giants Leg" The cup of tea and biscuits in the bay at Noss were very much appreciated too :-) A great afternoon out.

BEST BOAT TOUR EXPERIENCE
We have done this tour before and have to say it is the best boat tour we have ever done, which is why when we returned to Shetland with our friends that we wanted to repeat this fabulous experience all over again.
We booked for early August and made to feel welcome by Marie and relief skipper Marvyn as we boarded. After a very informative safety briefing we left the harbour and the experience began from there. Marie shared lots of history as we left the harbour and around Bressay and Noss. She also shared interesting facts on all the wildlife we encountered, she sure does have a wide range of knowledge which made for a very entertaining commentary. We were each handed headsets at the start of the tour so that we could hear everything Marie was telling us, we liked this very much.
We had a fabulous afternoon as we headed around Bressay and the cliffs of Noss are absolutely breathtaking. Skipper Marvyn navigated the boat allowing us to get up extremely close to the thousands of gannets. As this was early August we were lucky also to see puffins and many other seabirds. We were treated to hot drinks/biscuits in a bay behind the Noss wardens house - a realy nice tour. Whilst there we had seals coming close up to the side of the boat, plus we saw many other different seabirds as we enjoyed the scenery around us and chatting to the crew and other passengers, plenty of room on board to stretch the legs, really good value for money !!!
Thank you Seabirds-and-Seals we will definitely be back as this was most certainly the highlight for all during our two week holiday in Shetland.

Excellent 2 hour boat trip to the stunning coastlines of the islands of Bressay and Noss, from Lerwick. Very informative, plenty of room on the boat, good safety briefing. Amazing views of the gannet colonies on the cliffs, close up views when sailing in to a cave and through a rock arch formation. Inquisitive seals in the bay when we stopped for hot drinks and Scottish biscuits. Highly recommended.

This was a really great morning being taken out to see the stunning cliffs around these islands. Although we were a bit late in the season we still saw Skuas, Gannets, Fulmars and Shags right up close. Marie, our guide threw fish into the sea so we could witness the birds diving which was really amazing. We also saw seals up close which was nice. Marie was an excellent guide, making sure that she imparted her knowledge of the area as well as ensuring that we were safe and comfortable at all times. If you have never been up close to a bird colony this is a really memorable experience, fully recommended

This was a wonderful boat trip and a perfect way to experience the bird and sea life around the Shetlands. The gannet colony was spectacular, but the highlight was feeding the gannets and watching them dive for fish. I strongly recommend this entertaining and informative excursion during a visit to Lerwick. It was the perfect complement to our trip.

We enjoyed a smooth easy ride out of Lerwick Harbor.I loved the rocky coast and our captain bringing us into small caves.
The cliffs with nesting cawing birds made me smile and I got the urge to caw along with the birds.

I am an avid birder and Cetacean surveyor and have partaken in hundreds of sea trips to complete both, but this was a pleasure trip. Whilst visiting Shetland.
More expensive than the average sea trip, but this is not an average trip!
The numbers onboard are restricted so there is plenty of room to manouver about the boat for sighting and photography. The boat is well equipped and a sturdy photographic platform..
The husband and wife team who run it are Islanders with a wealth of knowledge about the Islands and it's wildlife. They are passionate about their islands and this comes out in their very informative commentary on board. Everyone gets their own headset so you can hear all the commentary even when the weather is poor with howling winds, or the boat is at speed.
Feeding the seabirds by hand gives extra opportunities for some excellent photos.
Tea, coffee and biscuits whilst anchored in a quiet Bay were a very pleasant bonus.
In essence: A slightly more expensive trip but we'll worth every penny.
If you get the chance to get on board do it. You will not regret it.
