We went on a half-day paddle with Angus. His calm, experienced demeanour and his love for the Shetlands made the outing very memorable. His equipment was of very high standard, and after a quick safety talk we were out on the water, exploring the beautiful shoreline. Angus is very knowledgable of the coast and pointed out various marine life to... More

This was our first time sea kayaking and it was brilliant. Angus is very patient, skilled instructor and very knowledgable on the sea birds, the coastline and the local history of Shetland. Our small group (adults and children) went along the coastline around Lerwick, going in and out of caves and finishing at Lerwick harbour. We saw countless sea birds,... More

I am a beginner, make no bones about it and so is Paul. Adam, aged 15, is 2*, so confident. We met at Brae and made our way North, Heylor, on shores of Ronas Voe where 12 of us including Angus and Rosalind, our amazing guides set off. All the equipment was provided. We took a packed lunch and change... More

This was the first time we had been kayaking so booked the shorter 2 hour trip. When booking the trip I described some of the animals we would have enjoyed seeing and the place chosen gave us the chance to see them. We saw plenty of seals bobbing about in the sea watching us and lounging on the rocks, hunted... More

Since we have young children, we did a shorter two-hour trip with Angus and his family and were not disappointed. They were all very accommodative of our little ones and made sure everyone got a chance to try both the kayak and the larger canoe. We weren't lucky with seeing animals but Angus was wonderful in pointing out the rich... More

This was the high point of our visit to the Shetland Islands. The views of the cliffs were stunning. There were birds, including a puffin on the water just twenty feet away; there were flowers which surprisingly grew down to the high-tide mark; there were seals, a mother and pup, who came out to check out the kayakers. We went... More

I went out on a day trip with Angus and his daughter, Catriona, round Eshaness which was truly spectacular. The rock formations, caves, stacks and arches were just astounding - both in size and beauty. The water around Shetland is crystal clear and there was the added bonus of puffins and seals accompanying us on our trip! Angus and Catriona... More

On may 23th we went kayaking for the first time in our lives. Angus and his daughter took us on a trip to visit Muckle Roe south on a bright sunny afternoon. It was amazing. We saw seals and different birds, went into caves and kayaked trough the kelp. It was a wonderful trip. Angus provided all the equipment and... More

We've done some kayaking before in several places round the world but none of the previous experiences has been so intense as kayaking with Angus. Amazing shoreline with caves and passages paddling through, watching wildlife with educational commentary from Angus and even sun was shining! Finding hidden places would be impossible without experienced local guide. Thank you Angus!
