An excellent circular walk with a variety of landscape and bird life to keep you interested as you walk the mostly level, undemanding route with good stopping places for refreshments.

The Loch Leven Heritage Trail has been a favourite destination for several years now, and has been further improved by the completion of the trail so that you can do the complete circuit of Loch Leven. The surface is excellent, access points are located around the route, as are several eateries. Allow a good few hours to do the full... More

We parked at the carpark at Loch Leven Lodges to the South end of the loch with the intention of walking around part of the heritage trail with our dog. The first part of the path isn't very wide given the number of cyclists sharing it with pedestrians. However, this was the least of our problems. In the first 50... More

Walked round the loch and really enjoyed it. Only bad point is the Lycra clad cyclists who travel round as if it's a race track!! They wouldn't be seen dead with a bell on their bike so my first warning was a shout of get out the f.....g way!! I kid you not. I spent the rest of my walk... More

Sorry Mother Nature. Great walk only spoiled by the (fill in the sweary word) rain for the first part of the walk but we'd forgotten our waterproofs. Our mistake. Anyhow, we started at Findatie car park grabbed a takeaway coffee and started walking clockwise. We have a dog who doesn't know the word obedient but it's fenced all the way... More

A fantastic opportunity to walk/cycle over 12 miles in a car free environment along a well made level path with great views. There are a number of places to stop at either on the trail or worth a small diversion. Be wary of flies in a hot evening.

A 13 mile bike ride round Loch Leven with varied scenery and many stops to take photos! Our 9 year old daughter loved it and the middle area through the woods was as much a highlight as the section overlooking the loch. The paths are very good and no issues with them if walking or cycling, with everything well maintained,... More
