Every year, around this time, my home (Kent)/Gliding club have a week long "expedition" to Portmoak. The welcome is always friendly, the instructors are great. For those of us who don't bring their own aircraft there is good availability of SGU gliders to use (K21s, DG505, Juniors, ...). Whatever the weather (rain excepted) it always seems something is "working" -... More

Signed up for starter pack membership after a day course at Edensoaring in the North Pennines. Instructors are excellent and I had to sign up for a week's course when one became available. Went from just managing the climb to take-off, circuits and landing... Though the instructors would have to say the circuits are still "developing". Fair comment, I don't... More

This was a fabulous and thrilling birthday gift from my wife. The instructor on the day was most informative and l had an amazing time. l lived close by the centre so it was even more amazing to get a birds eye view of my house. l would thoroughly recommend this experience to anyone!

I came to do a trial flight, and was immediately hooked, so I've become a regular flier. The facilities are excellent. The instructors are great, and the location is gorgeous. Its a friendly welcoming place. Give it a try.

Spent a great day at the Scottish Gliding Centre with the family. It was a most memorable experience for all ages. My 95 year old father-in-law loved his flight as did I and other members of the family are determined that they too will return in the near future. There is a good cafe in the clubhouse, excellent instructors and... More

A well organised experience where I was left amazed and thrilled. A really friendly bunch of people explained everything that would happen. I got to take control of the glider and was blown away by the scenery. Special thanks to Donny for being a brilliant pilot and a great host. Superb!

This was a birthday present from my other half and I was excited about going up in a glider which takes off from The Scottish Gliding centre to see from above the Lomond Hills and Bishops hill. Before we went to do the flight we visited the gliding centre to get a breakfast before going up in a plane with... More

I was given a flying experience gift for my 50th Birthday and eventually managed to do it just past my 51st! (The voucher I recieved lasted a year but when I telephoned to get a date and explained it might be a little over the year before I flew the very helpful young lady said that wouldn't be a problem)...
