Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Loved it, was working today ( Sunday) and was undecided about making a visit as there’s a pub walking distance from where I live. This place is about 3 miles away. So glad I did, great range of beers and a great atmosphere. Fantastic evening and a takeaway next door. Will be back.

There is a Great selection of guest ales ciders and gins, can see why it has won many rewards since it’s opened, and it’s also a very reasonably priced place

A proper beer drinker's boozer, though they also serve cider, gin, vodka and probably other drinks too. If I lived locally this place would be a real problem to me, because I would doubtless be popping in far too regularly! The reason is the beer you see, perfectly kept, including the correct temperature, and a good selection. Also, it is sensibly priced, certainly the beer, and from what little I know about the other drinks, I believe they are too. Staff are good and the clientele pleasant and friendly.
Obviously, the beer is the star of the show, and that is brilliant, my favourite pub.

We finally got around to visiting this place and were encouraged by the Camra award. I will be honest that I didn't get as far as buying a drink, because having fought my way through a crown of smokers huddled in the front porch, I then got into the bar and it absolutely stunk of smoke. I appreciate it was a rainy afternoon and they were sheltering whilst having their cigarettes, but this shouldn't be encouraged as it made the inside of the place smell awful. We used the loo and then left and went elsewhere.

One negative, they don't often enough keep my favourite 3.8% Golden or Light Coloured Ales on for more than one or two 9'ers at a time, Daft Bass is always 'on' and it really is well kepy and served, but it does make me walk funny so I have to avoid it. Beers are 'sample displayed' and can be ordered by number - Well, who can remember the name of so many different beers appearing so often, unless of course you are not drinking them! Food offering is limited to soft cobs and try as I may, I can't get them to use or offer traditional Leicestershire CRUSTY COBS (are you reading this, Sue, Amy?) and they are mean with the onion in Cheese and Onion cobs.

Nice little mircopub. Friendly staff and a great selection of beers and ciders to try. It's a relaxed atmosphere, lovely place to meet friends. Lighting can be a bit bright, so it's not a cost place. Interesting decor.
