    Lovely place, extortionate prices
Works Christmas do. Naturally Amazing venue, staff superb and an amazing band! For the love of god, lower your bar prices. Had to remortgage the house the day after. Great night.

We visited Halifax because of happy Valley on bbc
We came to Halifax to look round after see it on happy Valley on BBC one and wanted to see where they filmed some scenes and I was told by friends this place was one off them. It a lovely place to walk round and there plenty off parking here. There is a few shops and a hotel here. I enjoyed our time here but can’t remember it from happy valley series
We're so glad you enjoyed your visit! In regards to Happy Valley, the 5th floor of F Mill served as the interior of the police station, and the Engine Room Café featured in a scene with Catherine Caywood.

Fantastic place to eat and explore the galleries
This place is well worth a visit, far superior in our view to the Piece Hall. Ate in the True North Restaurant which was great, and then explored the galleries and shop. This place is amazing, don't know why it isn't advertised more, so glad we visited.

Website rubbish in terms of art exhibitions. MAFA have an exhibition in June but no mention on website. Cafe complained about too may visitors when our art collective had an exhibition a couple of years ago.. You have to pay for parking Mon -Fri - cheaper alternatives nearby. Not surprised the galleries are always quiet. Customer service in the shop rubbish - not pleased to see people. The place needs to get its act together.

Great disappointment, we expected something similar to Salts Mill but its just a series of company offices with a public art gallery, a small shop and a cafe. There is also a Travel Lodge. We had to find someone with a door passcode to let us in!

The arches venue . went to bierkeller night it was terrible. Toilets facilities were a distance from where we were and inadequate for the venue. Bar was to small and took forever to get served, The bar prices were over priced, and dont know what the lager was as there was no label on the pumps. probably the cheapst they could get to make the most. Someone did ask if it was german lager and was told no. Bratwurst Supper (i have had bratwurst in germany) was a hot dog. the umpar band came on around 8.30 so for first 1.5 hours there was no entertainment. The umpar band was ok but there was nothing german/bavarian about it, the songs were all old english sing a longs. It is a poor venue, poor toilet facilities, Expensive badly run bar. Wouldnt set foot in the place again

Review on Weaver Rooms Cafe. Go to The Engine Room cafe at Dean Clough instead - they are friendly and offer good service!

Still feeling sick from the smell of the disinfectant used to clean the kitchen and floors whilst we were still eatinf. We were then TOLD not asked to go at 3pm as they were closing. They could have given us 10 mins warning and be nice but got the feeling from some of the regulars it happens quite often.
Will be going to the other cafe option The Engine Room from now.

We were there for 3 nights and didn't get any free wifi. A receptionist gave us a code for free wifi for our whole visit, but it didn't work. In the end I had to buy 24hrs for three pounds.
There was only two sockets and neither of them was anywhere near the bed. Very inconvenient for anyone needing to contact us through the night. My friend and I have stayed in quite a few Travelodges and not had these complaints, one more thing, the outside windows were filthy.

Came for a meal with work colleagues. Couldn’t access where I needed to park my car near the restaurant. Spoke to “reception manager” on the speaker phone and was shouted at. She was so unbelievably rude. Disgraceful. Not sure how she’s a manager at all. Was 15 mins late for lunch meeting. Won’t be coming back anytime soon and complained about this to my department.

The whole experience was great from start to finish. Michelle and Nigel really looked after me and my travelling companion. Nothing was too much for them.
Would recommend to anybody staying in Halifax to use this establishment.

Less than one. What an absolute disgrace. Made a booking mid Feb for a family meal in March. Arrived to find they had let our table go and we were 10 mins early. Never ever go again. We had a 75 year old who has little mobility and just turned away. Shame on you.
