Popped in here for a swift half on a Saturday afternoon. There was a wide selection of ales on draft, friendly staff, and nice bar area. Also pretty close to the train station. Would happily return.

Popped in late on Saturday for a swift half to end the evening. A proper pub tastefully renovated in keeping with its heritage. A good selection of real ales for the discerning drinker. Recommended for those looking for a real British pub experience. Not a...More

Was mistakenly informed by the great God that is the internet that there was karaoke at this establishment on a Saturday night. Alas there wasn't. It's a charming pub with charming art deco touches but we sort of came here for the wrong reasons expecting...More

The place is not to everyone's cup of tea, hit it on the right or wrong night you get the folk group music jamming. Beers are OK, not a fan of many of them, but it's highly thought of by the real ale crowd.
