Absolutely love this museum.

This museum is outstanding. My husband and I went with a friend and all three of us were enjoying it. They have activities along with videos and plenty of information. Wonderful.

Usualy we would go as a family once a year to this museum. However, it is good for an afternoon out not a day trip. In the 7 years we have been going not much has really changed. But it is good for learning about the history of Great Yarmouth

Many thanks for your feedback - we are sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your visit as much as expected. Changes to displays are made possible with funding from the Arts Council and in the last few years we have used this to open the new Chemist shop in the Rows and the Boulters Museum display. We have also... More

So glad I found this museum and it's practically on the doorstep of my hotel St George. I spent 2 hours there and made use of the audio equipment for hire for just £1 or for just £3 if you bought a programme as well (programmes are usually £3). The exhibits are set out on two floors with a lift... More

Visited for a couple hours on a wet and windy November afternoon and came away very impressed. The layout was very easy to follow and the historical information easy to digest. Did you know for example - Great Yarmouth is actually built on what was originally the mouth to a major estuary. Huge amount of information on the herring industry... More

We found this museum on trip advisor as something to do on the last day of our holiday and thought it would be a good way to kill an hour. We weren't expecting the interactivity, personalisation and fabless that we got :) we have 2 children - a 6 year old and a disabled 3 year old and they were... More
