About
The Pleasure Beach with its mixture of modern and traditional attractions sits at the top of Great Yarmouth's Golden Mile dominating the seafront skyline with its rides. Spread over nine acres, the Pleasure Beach offers huge family fun, from full-throttle white knuckle rides to exhilarate and fun rides to keep the children happy for hours. Our roller coaster has been the star attraction since 1932 and is still a crowd puller today. And even more attractions, rides and innovations are on their way.

- Eddie CLondon, United Kingdom151 contributionsFun visit.First time back in Pleasure Beach since covid. Great deals for entry. Funcards for just walking around park and tokens can be added. Cards are valid for season and unlimited entry. Good rides and food selection. Good value and friendly staff.Visited October 2023Travelled soloWritten 14 October 2023
- Kate C5 contributionsFantastic night at the pleasure beach fright nightWe had our first visit to great Yarmouth pleasure Beach on fright night on Wednesday, the 25th of October. Thoroughly enjoyable. We had a brilliant night I highly recommend you visit. Also I’d like to give a big shout out to one of the members of staff Paul H. He was very helpful and knowledgeable as we asked him lots of questions about the park, he was very happy to answer a credit to the pleasure beach, Kate and JimVisited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 27 October 2023
- bridladIlkeston, United Kingdom127 contributionsVery well run fairgroundThis review was originally wrote in 2021. We were hesitant to come due to social distancing but we didn’t need to worry. The park is well run with lots of sanitising stations around. The most we queued for was 5 minutes and they restricted numbers which made it much more bearable. Prices in the bar for drinks were slightly above average but that’s to be expected. The rollercoaster is great, kids and adults loved it!Visited June 2023Travelled with familyWritten 31 March 2024
- Leanne K69 contributionsPleasure beachAnother visit not very busy Sunny outside Kids had fun Been a few times this year but kids now bored of it . Would be good to have some shows like the Halloween event or just some atmosphere when walking around . Maybe a few more themed characters just on the rides give them a bit of ambiance. Had coffee from down the far end No Cyrup choices And cups extremely small fir £3 I feel like this needs a water ride of some sort ? Since the log fume went none of the rides compare and this loss was a big loss to the park. Or maybe add something unique to the park like your own mini golf ? Or hall of mirrors something quirky 🤪Visited April 2024Travelled with familyWritten 19 May 2024
- Jai D8 contributionsGreat, but expensiveThere were so many rides and fun for everyone from little ones to thrill seekers. However, it was reasonably expensive There are 3 options for payment: A £5 fun card, giving you 5 credits (1 classic rollercoaster). A £10 fun card, giving you 10 credits (2 classic rollercoaster rides). A wristband, costing around £25 per person, which was extremely overpriced, especially for families. There is also a season pass, but I haven’t found out the cost I really enjoyed the pendulum, lighting 360 and rollercoaster rides. My sister enjoyed some of the tamer rides like the teacups and the monorail. Furthermore, this funfair is right on the beach, and has lots more activities and dining options near it Finally, there is an extension focused for little ones, called the Pkeasure Beach Gardens. It has a mini carousel, mini driving tracks and even a god digging experince! I would definitely recommend coming on a sunny day, and if you can afford it. Would definitely return.Visited May 2024Travelled with familyWritten 29 May 2024
- Man1cmomWest Midlands, United Kingdom723 contributionsNo better than a local travelling fairExpensive for what is there. Adults have no option but to buy a £5 voucher to get in. Rides no better than a local travelling fair but with an even more expensive price tag. Total tourist trap. If it was cheaper we would’ve spent more.Visited June 2024Travelled with familyWritten 9 June 2024
- debne1Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom41 contributionsGreat dayVisited the Pleasure Beach this week, it was only open on Wednesday through the week. It opened 12pm to 5pm, busy at opening time but queues were moving quickly. Wristbands offered excellent value for money as we tried nearly all of the rides twice. Sunny day really helped. The park had a lovely atmosphere. Wooden roller coaster was excellent.Visited June 2024Travelled with familyWritten 21 June 2024
- KatGateshead, United Kingdom42 contributionsA excellent day out! It's a great traditional seaside funfair. Reasonably priced with the option of either a pass card or wristband. I recommend the wristband. You can stay all day or until you've had enough. The staff were great, really accommodating, especially with our autistic son. There was enough there to mean that the queues were low. An excellent day out.Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 6 July 2024
- robertmorris1Norwich, United Kingdom21 contributionsExpensive at first impression but good value day out happy to recommend.Winced a bit at the “pre ordered” ticket for £90 for 3 x 7 years old and over and 1 x 6 year old. But I must say a very very good day spent in the park with the Grandchildren. With the wrist bands you can go on as many rides as you wish as many times as you wish. The Grandchildren after the 7/8 visit through the Fun House pushed this to the limit 😃 but the had a lovely time. Bit grubby round the edges and a good pressure wash would benefit the overall look but that aside GREAT.Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 30 July 2024
- Hollie SNottingham, United Kingdom10 contributionsGreat experience!Lots of family friendly rides, photos/keyring etc were reasonably priced by souvenir standards. Queues for rides went down quickly and mostly walk on. We brought wristbands all round. But in hindsight perhaps should've gone with a fun card next time. As my son did not need or want to be accompanied on the rides! 😂 Food outlets looked absolutely crazy for queues, don't be put off as it was well organised and fast moving! Will visit again!Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 9 August 2024

Stuck at a loose end so decided to book online tickets for my sons age 16 (who’s Autistic and has ADHD) and 11. Queued up for entry to be told only two can enter the park as we only purchased two tickets. (We’d assumed all of us could enter and that riders would be issued a wrist band etc).
Explained my husband and I had no intention of riding (I have a bad back and hubby hates rides) to be told spectators have to pay £12 entry too for them to manage their capacity levels?... didn’t quite make sense as they also said not everyone had turned up so you’d think they’d allow two extra people in considering the circumstances (I also had a letter confirming my sons conditions).
Tried to speak to a manager to explain it wasn’t clear on their website (it does say but most people, like ourselves head to the “book now” section) but basically told buy tickets or no entry, regardless of our concerns regarding our elder son being Autistic/ADHD and our younger one only being 11. Basically my husband and I had to wait outside.
After an hour both children came out bored saying the queues were long and not managed and social distancing was poor.
Glad we didn’t buy two extra tickets for an hours amusement!

We enjoyed the morning session, hand sanitiser everywhere, not too busy especially early in the morning. My kids 6 and 9 had a lovey time, some rides are quite old but still good fun. Would recommend and would return. Half the pleasure beach needed prebooking £12 each All rides included (this is what we did) the other half was free to enter £1 or £2 per go in the slot. We didn’t see any donkey rides which we had read about but you could pay for a pony and trap Ride up and down the road, further along there was lots of arcades and a fantastic circus

Such a lovely day. It’s actually so much better with the Covid regulations in place and we felt so safe and got on loads of rides. Staff are fantastic especially Kevin who is so friendly and helpful as were the ladies in the bar. Defo worth the £12 pp entry fee and highly recommend anyone to visit.

This was our first visit to Pleasure Beach with our six year old grandaughter who last year when staying in Great Yarmouth went to Joyland (along the seafront at the other end ) as at that time it was better for a five year old but this year she wanted to go on the big rides ! We had an allocated time to arrive for the evening session at 6.15pm at one of three gates. There was hand sanitisers on every ride and all around the large park which was great in fact i feel the staff at Pleasure Beach have really worked hard with all the covid rules and i kept seeing them continually cleaning the whole time so well done to the team. The rides were great ! The wooden roller coaster and the monorail were big hits ! I always ride the gallopers even though im old ! But this paticular one did not play music whilst going round it was fish without the chips ! The man on the ride was quite miserable too. Log ride was fantastic and you can purchase a poncho for £1 if you need one which is a great idea ! This park is brill and our little one is already talking about coming back to Pleasure Beach next year ! One last point, as we left to head back to our car, we was just approaching the exit gates when a man who i think was head of staff said goodbye thankyou for coming and that went a long way with me as it sadly lacking in so many places these days and it finished off a lovely evening !

We visited during a short family stay.
At £12 per head for half a day we thought we got decent value for money given it would normally cost a few quid per fair ride normally.
Booking was done online and we were shown straight through when we arrived. I would recommend parking at the South Beach Parade next to the Premier Inn for ease of access and off street parking.
Lots of small rides for little ones which was great.
Also some decent “spinny” rides for the bigger kids.
The old school roller coaster (built early 1900’s) was lots of fun and, overall, I would say a good time was had by all!

Having pre booked our three hour session online we were excited to take our two boys (9 and 12) to experience some of the rides that we did as children and we were not disappointed, Entrance into the park was effortless and the use of the different gates made the wait time minimal. Queues for rides were quick and efficient meaning that in our ride total was 15 rides in our three hours! All staff were helpful and friendly on all rides. The rollercoaster was compared by our son to being as much fun as the ones at Thorpe Park!
Our only reason for not the full five stars was that hand sanitiser and social distancing in the queues was not being monitored. There was sanitiser available on all rides and around the park which we regularly used, This did not affect our enjoyment however just felt that it would beneficial for everyone to be using the sanitiser before and after riding each ride.
A great family afternoon making memories!

We visited for the 2.45-5.45pm session with an 11 and 14 year old. I had already booked online for my son and I but after seeing the wide choice of rides my husband and daughter also booked- getting tickets at the kiosk. We entered through different gates but met up at the log flume. What great rides! The log flume was similar to ones at larger theme parks, the wooden roller coaster packed an adrenalin punch! The kids couldn't get enough of the Twister! Or the Waltzer! (Quickest ever)! Longest queue was the queue to get in. But it moved fast. Longest queue inside was approx 8 mins. Best value ever for £13.50 a ticket- my son must have gone on 13 rides or more!! Park clean, attendants friendly, they were checking and rechecking the rides, which was really reassuring. Would definitely recommend this park for an afternoon out. The covid measures in place mean your in there with a smaller crowd, you can actually sit on a bench, you can use the loos, you have freedom to move around and it's so nice to just go up to a ride and get on! Beats Chessington hands down!!

Fantastic experience far better then before
Reasonably priced- £13.50 per person for a three hour slot which includes unlimited riding. There was very little queuing 5 mins maximum due to not having the usual volume because of covid on the amusement park.
This made for a very enjoyable experience completely stress free- I hope this is continued post covid times because it was a joy- normally I find the queues and amount of people stressful at these places. We felt this was great value for money. Happy adults and children. Thank you

New restrictions are now in place due to the covid pandemic which means you now book a 3 hours slot online for £12.00 per person, and numbers are limited. This means you have a beautifully clean park, which is not overcrowded. We didn't have to queue for more than 10 minutes for the really popular rides, and there were no queues for some of the tamer rides. The whole family (2 adults and 2 teenagers) had a wonderful time - please can you keep the restricted numbers even after the covid pandemic? This was probably the best 3 hours at any theme park ever because of the restriction on numbers. And amazing value at only £12.00 per head. We actually didn't stay the full 3 hours because we had done everything (some rides several times) and had thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

I visited the pleasure Beach on Wednesday 9th September at the current time tickets and time slots need to be pre booked tickets are £12 each. There is plenty of rides for everyone the queues where not too long the maximum waiting time i had was about 5 minutes for the roller-coaster what is so much better than the average waiting times at the larger theam Parks. There was hand sanitizer on entry to all rides and the staff were making sure everyone was applying it and social distancing was not an issue

No worries thank you! We parked on the main road for free which was fab. I took a crossbody bag and took on rides which was fine. Thank you for replying!

We visited yesterday but can’t understand why my son who is just under 1m could go on the big blue roller coaster but not the small one with the apple? I was riding with him, I would say the blue one was scarier?

It's down to the designers of the coasters and all rides. Wat they state is law. Operators are not aloud to let children on as if anything happened to them, the operater would be fired and the park heavily find. Not just pleasure beach this goes for any park around the world. Hope this has helped u out. Helen. Please come back and visit us again.

Can you purchase wristbands and share them or are they secured to wrist so that they can't be shared
Written 18 July 2018
Hi, you can’t share as they put them on your wrist, I highly recommend getting an evening wrist band and book in advance to get 15% off , check their website for details 😊
Written 19 July 2018
Do adults have to pay for a wristband to accompany smaller children on the rides, youngest is 3.
Also I heard you can get cheaper wristbands near by but haven’t found out where. Thanks

We came back off holiday just a week ago and we found that it was fairly quiet just after it opened and about an hour before closing, the park is great fun enjoy no matter what time of day, and for food I recommend the hungry bun, you won't be hungry for long.
