About
The Pleasure Beach with its mixture of modern and traditional attractions sits at the top of Great Yarmouth's Golden Mile dominating the seafront skyline with its rides. Spread over nine acres, the Pleasure Beach offers huge family fun, full-throttle white knuckle rides to exhilarate and thrill, water attractions to catch your breath and fun rides to keep the children happy for hours. Our roller coaster has been the star attraction since 1932 and is still a crowd puller today. Nearly 1 million visitors enjoyed the Pleasure Beach experience in 2018, confirming our place in the top 10 UK free entry amusement parks. And even more attractions, rides and innovations are on their way.

    Loved it
Good value for money! Good range of rides and attractions and much cheaper than places like alton towers! Queues were practically non-existent despite it being Easter Holidays we pretty much got on everything within 5 or 10 minutes. Staff are all very friendly and helpful

Great day out with tweens, better value pricing for 2023
🎢 We had a great day today for me & two 11yr olds who love rides. The range of rides felt varied (we rode everything at least once!) and no queues were longer than 10 minutes. There are classics likes the roller coaster, carousel, dodgems & the pirate ship. The newer additions such as last year’s Lightening 360 are fun and my two loved Disko & the huddle of three rides beyond the roller coaster which some may miss. The 4D film was fun and good for a break, as was the monorail. 🎟️ The new wristband entry system represented excellent value for money for us as it allowed unlimited rides for the 7 hours the park was open today. I usually use a Funcard to enter while my children ride. This is a one-off £5 to buy then can be used for free entry any number of times. You can top up the card to ride anything you fancy, see the online info for each ride. Prices equate to £1 for a token. But if you don’t go on rides, have medical issues or just want to watch family members having fun, I think it’s fair because when the park used to be open for anyone to wander about, the atmosphere for families wasn’t as nice. It also limits how crowded the park gets and reduces queues. Again, when it was all open, it was difficult to predict and manage the numbers coming in. The staff were all happy & chatty including some newer members being trained up by experienced members. 🍦 We had ice creams which were lovely. We also bought a ride photo fridge magnet which felt fairly priced at £7, produced immediately and was good quality. Food was the usual sort of thing offered by amusement parks plus slushies, hot drinks etc but there are sandwiches available and two bars if the sun’s out and you fancy a drink on holiday! 😃 We are local so very likely to return another day and hope the weather is as nice! A Season ticket is worth it for us as we would make our money back in 4 visits. I think anyone put off by the price should check out the token price of individual rides and opening hours as it may work out to be good value for fun for a long period of the day depending on the ages within your family and disposition to rides.

Fantastic day out in Great Yarmouth
What a fantastic day out in Great Yarmouth! We visited as a family of five, with 3 children aged 8, 6 and 4. We also went with a family of 4, with children aged 8 and 12 and grandparents. EVERYONE was entertained for the WHOLE day and this is fantastic value for money! We didn’t stop for the whole day with rides suitable for the whole party and not once did anyone ever get bored. Food choice and prices were brilliant. Staff were very helpful. A must visit when in Yarmouth as a family!

    Great Day Out
We had a great day at the pleasure beach. Always brilliant to get on Roller Coaster. Absolute classic and brings back great memories. Even better than you’re able to take on young kids over 90cm. My two love it. Loads of other great rides too, they really love the ghost train and snails. Thanks for a brilliant day.

    Hidden gem
Fabulous place. Rides well maintained with minimal, if any queues. The staff were super-friendly and attentive, and happily chatted away with my son who has a special interest in rollercoaster history. Considering we paid £3-£4 per person per ride when we went to a traditional funfair in Skegness offering far fewer and less exciting rides, I’d say the wristbands present excellent value.

Higher cost and less to offer
Visited with my family recently. I've been coming for over 40 years since childhood and little has changed. While we did enjoy ourselves, it's nowhere near "good value." Firstly, the price is a huge jump on previous years and to park nearby it's at LEAST an extra £6. So £100 for a family of four is a lot of money for what it is. You may have heard that they've removed the log flumes (which is a huge shame) but there were several other rides missing too that they've sneaked out. For example, the kids car ride at the back of the park has now gone. My children used to love doing that so were disappointed. On the plus side, the park was very quiet now that people can't afford to go. Queues were short, but I'm wondering how much longer they can afford to keep this going? High prices and no investment will only lead to the entire park closing..not just a few rides.

Great visit and worth the wristband if staying all day
Second visit with our 5 year old after coming a year ago when he was younger. This was by far a better visit as he was able to go on more rides. Bought a wrist band and stayed all day with unlimited access to the rides. Great value visit if your planning on being there non stop.

    Father Som day
Easy to find, great website and parking was a doddle. I was a little sceptical at first but once we’d entered the place was absolutely amazing. There were so many attractions and rides to enjoy we spent most of the day laughing and being big kids again. Enjoyed the best milkshake ever in the hot sun. Got the wrist band deal which was incredible value for money. Take the family as it’s a whole days fun with so many things to do for all ages.

A great night out with teenagers
Good old fashioned fun! The rides were great, queues were reasonably quick and there was plenty to see and enjoy. Three teenage boys who thoroughly enjoyed themselves (as did I!) This place still has the same atmosphere it had when I was a kid. The rollercoaster is still amazing after all these years!

We buy the season pass as we live locally and the value for money is amazing! We can pop down for just a couple of hours as and when we feel like it and we have not had a bad experience yet! We always ask our girls what they want to do and they always reply with the pleasure beach!

We visit fairground frights every year but this year we did it twice as we enjoyed the first evening so much, this year they had a new scare maze called south beach asylum, it was pretty scary and very well thought out, as always the actors roaming the park were as great as ever with some new faces this year, we also loved the guy doing magic he was fabulous and extremely talented, we can’t wait to see what next year has in store, we’ll done to all the team for 2 great evenings.

We had our first visit to great Yarmouth pleasure Beach on fright night on Wednesday, the 25th of October. Thoroughly enjoyable. We had a brilliant night I highly recommend you visit. Also I’d like to give a big shout out to one of the members of staff Paul H. He was very helpful and knowledgeable as we asked him lots of questions about the park, he was very happy to answer a credit to the pleasure beach, Kate and Jim

I have not been there for years, I only 10 mins away. So had friends down so we went, but to be ripped off for being a wheelchair is madness. It was better when anyone could go in free of charge, but money means more to them than the public enjoyment.

We tried to visit The pleasure Beach on bank holiday Monday and were turned away on at 5:45pm as they had decided to close at 6pm. There were no signs up to suggest they were closing on what must be their busiest period of the year. After walking the length of the golden mile with my elderly mother whose struggles to walk we were met with rude staff. I waited at the glass to buy an entrance ticket and was ignored and my mum asked an older member of the team why they were closing at 6 she was met with a very rude response. We were told by the older lady, who I guess was a supervisor that she wanted to go eat her dinner as she’d worked every evening this weekend and was happy they were closing. This felt like a kick in the teeth as we had disappointed children with us. We were then told that even if we were entering we would have to pay £5 per person just to enter even if they were not riding. Our family has been visiting Yarmouth for generations and never experienced such rubbish. We left, went to joy land, who were still open and staff much older on ticket sale greeted us with a welcoming smile and we expressed how disappointed we were with PB. If you visit PB, prepare to be ripped off and make sure it’s going to be open just incase staff wanted to close doors early for dinner. We traveled from Bury to visit and left it until dinner time to visit PB as we wanted to see the lights from the top of the rollercoaster. My mum used to ride it in the 60s. Back in the good old days it was open until 10 and everyone was welcome to watch their kids on the rides, free of charge.

Been many times here, and love it every time. The roller coaster has always and always will be a favourite out of all the rides there. I would recommend booking a ticket especially in the school holidays, as thats when it can be very busy. Do the roller coaster first in my opinion, as that is probably going to get busy. There are loads of rides there to experience and enjoy, there are some rides for the little kids to. The thing is, you can normally get through all the rides within 3 hours or so, sometimes less, so just remember that you maybe doing a lot of re rides throughout the day if you are wanting to stay there the whole day. There are also some great food options to, from burgers to doughnuts. Overall a nice atmosphere as always at the park and would recommend you go for a visit at some point!
