Very ask able entrance fees. Handy parking nearby. Take time to wander each floor to take everything in. Lift to most floors. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Don't forget to visit to visit the "other" Nelsons Column at the other end of town.

This is a god museum with lots of nelson bits and good rooms covering all the basics. The staff are friendly and they have a competition for the kids to keep them amused with dressing up room other interactive displays. It feels like it is lacking investment though as some areas such as the garden looked tired, and the below... More

Husbands choice to visit. Car park situated right next to building was very handy. Lovely welcoming ladies on the entrance. Plenty of activities to keep kids involved. My son was a bit to old to try the dressing up clothes though. I can honestly say I learnt things that I never knew about Horatio Nelson and how people around him... More

This is an insight into the admiral lord Nelson and the battle of Trafalgar 1805 Set in a house overlooking the harbour this little museum is full of facts and history, lots to see and read, very well displayed. Not much entrance fee and your left to wander around. A good 1-2hrs can be spent here. We enjoyed it.

It was raining. So we decided to take the Nelson Tour. A very nice little museum, you find yourself lost in a different world. Really enjoyable.

An interesting museum, small enough to keep you busy and entertained but not too big so that you lose interest. The curator was both helpful and knowledgeable and laughed when our youngest son said "so Nelson Mandela was a famous pirate?"; wrong Nelson son! We've laughed out loud about that gem ever since! Further along the road towards the industrial... More

I have been meaning to visit this museum for some time and found it very interesting. What was eerie was walking into one of the upstairs rooms and seeing the lifelike figure of Nelson, sat at a table. Some interesting exhibits, and details of what Navy life was like in those days. A very interesting museum and worth a visit.

This is an interesting collection of artifices associated with Horatio Nelson, well set out and informative. There are a umber of games and puzzles for children to do to help keep their interests during a visit.
