Walks around the woods are well sign posted and paths are well maintained. Only passed a handful of people, it was very peaceful.

A lovely place for a walk and to feel at peace. You can weave all around the river, through the woods, and spend as much time as you want getting lost in the natural beauty. Walking is flat and quite easy, and dogs are welcome!

A lovely peaceful place to walk, but take a map with you as there are numerous paths off the main signposted walks to go exploring further. The Speyside way runs through it. Good to see some Scottish native forest being preserved by the locally community

Had a lovely evening stroll around this wood. Clearly marked out trails and very peaceful. Plenty of Wildlife to be seen and lovely to walk through a woodland so undisturbed. Saw Red Squirrel, Roe Deer, Scottish Crossbill and plenty more. Beautiful.

This is an easy to find location only 1 few minutes drove from the centre of Grantown. There are a number of circular walks, all level and on good paths so easy for anyone to walk. It'e a pretty location and we would visit again.

Thinking of visiting woods when we are in the area in October but I am a bit concerned regarding the amount of dog poo, as we will be there with 4 small children. Is it still as bad? Extremely bad review on Trip Adviser only in March of this year.

Stephanie and I visited on 22 September and were unaware of any such problem. I would have no hesitation taking children here. One option to keep their interest would be to walk to the end of the military road (easy going... More
