Fabulous sight

What a wonderful sight especially at night with all the lights. Visited whilst Xmas lights were on along the quay

Restruants close by. Amazing walk along the Tyne, extrodinary views along the river, would be fun for kids but you'd have to keep a close eye on them since its busy and you have the river.

The bridge is a convenient way to get to the other side of the water. At night the bridge is well lit and provides nice views.

Few British councils have made as much of an investment in recent years in establishing their cultural and artistic credentials as Gateshead. The centerpiece of this is built around its quayside, which is shared with Newcastle upon Tyne, and includes, among other attractions, the BALTIC Centre, the Sage and the now iconic Millennium Bridge. Worth having a look if you are in the area, can be a hike down from the city centre but worth it for the views. Plenty bars and restaurants in the area to stop off in on the way. Would have liked to see it 'in motion', I think you can check when the lifting of the bridge is planned.

We walked from the town centre to enjoy the riverside and to see the famous bridges across the Tyne But as we approached the bridge a large group of protesters set of green flares and unfurled a large banner As the were clearly unruly and extremely vocal we decided not to cross the bridge on this occasion as we didn't... The bridge is one of many crossing the Tyne but this pedestrian bridge is a must see and experience place in Newcastle. It is a fantastic piece of engineering and show Newcastle at the top of its cultural scene

Its an experience to see when the boats go past on the river and its great how it bends shape and changes colour with bright lights in the dark.
