We visited Enniskillen castle several years ago and were most impressed at the improvement. The new visitor centre and galleries were most interesting. Well done!

Thank you for your lovely comment. I'm glad you enjoyed the recently refurbished Enniskillen Castle complex with our new galleries; stream-lined heritage, tourism and genealogy visitor information service as well as the Castle Café and Shop.

Bright and well laid out. Plenty of history of the area, all clearly presented.. Inniskilling museum also located within the grounds also with good exhibits. It's right on the lake so in a very picturesque setting. I particularly liked Maguire's Tower house.

Glad you enjoyed your visit to Enniskillen Castle incorporating the two museums: Fermanagh County Museum and The Inniskillings Museum as well as the historic castle site. Will pass your comments on to the Castle Café too.

Well maintained and interesting site, although the actual castle section is quite small. Still a must see if in Enniskillen. Reasonable admission prices. We spent about an hour here. The best photos of the castle itself are from the river bank walk.

Thank you for your positive comments regarding your visit to Enniskillen Castle. The Castle is picturesquely situated beside one of the narrowest crossing points on the River Erne - plenty of photo opportunities to be had.

Went to the castle with a 3yr old as she wanted to see one because of Frozen. Now not really much of an old fashioned castle but the exhibits created 2-3 hrs of inquisitiveness for her. A good children's play area in one of the...More
