This used to be a really good railway - but it looks like it's falling apart. Most of the railway is closed so you can't get a train at Wyndham any more, steam isn't running any more and the whole place feels like it is about to close down.

Booked this back in summer and there were only tickets left for November. Glad we did now the December dates were cancelled because of omicron. The bad: before show could be better organised, it was quite a long wait with limited seating. The good: everything else! The actors on our carriage were great, energetic and personable. Rainbow and sprinkles really worked hard to create a fun experience, the whole carriage were singing and dancing with them. The conductor was great and recognised my daughter was a little travel sick and didn’t drag her into the activities. Overall, great fun. Do it, you won’t regret it!…

You can see why this trip gets sold out so early on! We had an amazing experience where old and young were mesmerised. The only bit that wasn’t great was the visibility for the show, it felt cramped and hot and this didn’t get better when lifting the little ones to see. However we could’ve turned up earlier to get a seat so not the railways fault. Screens near back would be good in future. Once we were on the train it felt like you were in the movie, absolutely brilliant. The staff made time to engage with everyone and it was captivating from start to finish. They were just brilliant, highly amusing and the routine flawless. Nice touch with the gold ticket, cookie and hot chocolate as well. Santa gives everyone a hell at the end, a beautiful keepsake with polar express engraved. if you haven’t been it’s definitely worth it for an unforgettable experience.…

Thank you for your review of The Polar Express at the Mid-Norfolk Railway. We're glad that you enjoyed the shows, your journey, the hot chocolate, cookie and bell. The suggestion of screens at the rear of the marquee is something that we're planning to look into for next season.

Wow what an incredible experience.. this is our second time and it was just as exciting and engaging we were entertained the whole time and the actors were great ! .. only bit that wasn’t great was the show in the marquee at the start it was cramped and a covid breeding ground I note the organisers mention there is air filters etc but for the amount of people this just wasn’t enough it was very worrying ! Will deffo be back during safer times 🥰…

Thank you for your kind review. The event, including the marquee, were carefully designed to comply with the national situation and COVID safety at the launch of the event. The outdoor air being heated and blown into the marquee causing a constant flow of "stale" air out of the vents and openings in the fabric - and the marquee was cleaned between services. We look forward to welcoming you back.
