Perrygrove Railway runs for 3/4 mile through farmland and woods on the edge of the Forest of Dean. Ride the steam train to all our activities including the unique Treetop Adventure - 5 houses up in the trees, fully accessible and safe - our covered picnic and play area at Foxy Hollow, an Indoor Village with secret passages, and a den-building area in the woods. See our collection of vintage trains (operating on two special days each year). Unlock a casket of treasure! Fun guaranteed. Picnics welcome - or enjoy our cafe serving sandwiches and light refreshments. Lots of special events, including days when Mr. Chuffity is here to show children how the Friendly Engines work and tell stories. Low cost family tickets - nothing else to pay (except the optional Treasure Hunt).

We come to Gloucester every Christmas to spend time with our children and grandchildren and one of the highlights is taking the younger ones to see Santa. Booked this on line and had a bit of trouble when I back tracked to change the age of our granddaughter then got stuck so I phoned up and a very nice young... More

I had brought my six year old Granddaughter here in the Summer and had such a fabulous day that the decision was made to return to see Santa at Christmas. We arrived as suggested at least an hour before our allotted visit to Santa and had a ride on the train which also incorporated a Treasure trail. There was time... More

We visited in December with a 5 year old and 1 year old. The trip cost just under £50!! We got there an hour before the santa show as advised. We took one trip on the train which it states you can ride as much as you like but honestly once was enough. When we got back it was time... More

Had a wonderful time seeing Santa kids loved it. Will be returning. Had a bit of trouble booking the attraction, and the guy rang me back a few days later and staff was unable to book when I called or use the credit card machine, but that is my only grumble. In addition they could really do with some festive... More

Our boys aged 6 and 3 loved Father Christmas - really fun as they gather round, hear a story and then Father Christmas comes down the chimney. Outside everything a bit damp and green and needs a clean. Train ride fun, staff great. Food just average. Didn't enjoy the coffee and food quite ordinary. Not bad value though. Overall a... More

I was bored on Sunday morning, I thought I will come visit this place, not a bad I like it. The train is tiny go through woodland to the top of a hill and I walked a path that lead back to the station, beautiful autumn leaves in yellow/red. I will visit again when the next is steam running.

Went on steam gala day when 6 railway engines and at least 2 steam traction engines were running. What a wonderful exhibition of both small and large engines. There were plenty of train rides to be had and even rides behind the traction engines. A small exhibition of classic cars was to be had. Plenty for the kids to do... More

Lovely little steam train journey into the Forrest which lasts approx 15 mins to the end of the line then it comes back again. There are 2 stops where you can get off, one a woodland walk and the other a small playground with picnic area. Lovely treetop play area although it needs updating as looks very old but the... More
