We visited on a rather grey and soggy at times New Year's Day and had a brilliant time. Apart from a couple of other visitors we pretty much had the place to ourselves and had immense fun getting in the various aircraft and aircraft cockpits. As a museum curator myself I really enjoyed sitting in some of the aircraft and... More

A fairly small outdoor site with a lot squeezed in. This is a no frills experience but for £3 child entry, it's good value. Unlike other air museums, you can touch and get into most of the aircraft/bits of aircraft! And if you like to do more than just look, then there are detailed information boards and plenty of enthusiastic... More

I think the whole point of trip advisor is to be honest, and this museum is run by friendly enthusiastic volunteers but that is the best thing going for it. I have visited many aviation aircraft museums, and I understand that the aircraft are going to be in worse for wear condition, but here there were few aircraft and the... More

Lots planes (or sections of planes), most of which you can go in or sit in the cockpit. Very informative information boards. Live information about what's going on at the airport across the road.

Great place to explore with kids, but also grown ups. Plenty on different planes where kids can jump to cockpits. Space for picnic. Its ran by amazing volunteers that are always available to help or to inform.

Visited last Sunday, pretty much on impulse. Weather was dull and dreary but this place really lifted my spirits. The first thing that struck me was the friendliness and helpfulness of the volunteers - the second thing was that it only cost £6. The volunteers were never pushy but encouraged visitors to sit in the aircraft. They have an interesting... More

A really nice little museum. Able to try out the cockpits of lots of the aircraft. Sit inside some airliners of the past. Nicely look after by the friendly staff. Well worth a visit.

This is what this country is all about. Little pockets of surprises! Fantastic. So much so, we've been back many times. Kids love it. Mind you, so do I! Hats off to all the volunteers there. Superb job. Keep it up. If you're going next door to Wonderland, find an hour or so and go here. You'll love it.
