The plants are setting seed and so are over their best and there's very little colour. The garden is on a slope and the paths are tricky with a lot of irregular stone steps. I suspect primary children would enjoy the jungle feel and activities....More

Hmmmm........... I have a feeling that this is not an "impartial" report, as we received an almost identical one last week that compared us unfavourably to the gardens at Trago Mills, (which to me personally was quite a hurtful insult).... For the record I spent...More

Sadly these gardens are past their prime. I visited in August and the gardens were unkempt, overgrown and neglected. Not many plants in bloom and the Mediterranean gardens were just a mess. The pathways are treacherous and not recommended for elderly or those requiring assistance....More

Devondibber, I'm sorry you didn't appreciate my gardens, but I cannot really thank you for your rather scathing, inaccurate and rather mean comments.....If you had looked there is a sign giving an explanation: We have to leave as much of the garden as possible to...More

We enjoyed the quirky gardens and ponds, laid out like a map of the world and discovered where flowers like fuchsias and blue poppies or monkey puzzle trees came from. The garden paths are fairly narrow with a few steps here and there, not arduous...More

Thank you so much for your kind review....we are still all working hard to keep it tidy and ship-shape but the recent rain is making everything grow like mad! We have problems cutting things back too as we need to let the seeds ripen as...More

We visited here yesterday and enjoyed the short walk up and down the very narrow paths, the signs round were very easy to see and the overgrown pathways added to the atmosphere, we both suffer with our knees but no problem for us here as...More

Thank you for coming and sending in your report too. Glad you enjoyed the walk around the gardens. Yes, the recent rain has made things grow like mad, but we try to keep them cut back without losing the slightly congested look. Regards Ray

On driving to our house in Brixham we spotted signs to Plant World as we went over the new road at Penn Inn roundabout. So we had a spare afternoon and decided to seek out this establishment. We had no expectations before we went so...More

Thank you for your kind comments. I'm sorry some of the pathways are getting overgrown as it's getting hard to keep the gardens tidy at the moment. What with a heatwave followed by a monsoon deluge, the plants think they have gone to heaven and...More

I visited here last Autumn and left a good review as we had a nice time, and I allowed for the gardens not looking their best as it was the end of summer. I was looking forward to returning this summer to see the flowers...More

Relaxing, peaceful and pleasurable to walk around these gardens featuring plants from around the world. An interesting nursery where there are unusual plants to purchase, plus seeds, all reasonably priced. Nice eatery too.

Many thanks for sending in your thoughts about us. The gardens were getting a bit burned out during the recent heatwave, but as I write the rain is hammering down onto my gasping plants! Kind regards Ray

As our Dieramas, (which we purchased here several years ago), are SO beautiful this year (and because we only live over the other side of the valley), it nudged us to visit again today. The fact that our previously purchased plants were our incentive to...More

Thank you for your kind comments! Yes, stocks are getting a bit low as we have had so many happy customers flooding in over the last few weeks! (We try to grow the special plants ourselves rather than buy them in to re-sell them). And...More

Hi - They specialise in plants from all over the world and certainly have quite a few specimens available but their main sales are from seeds. Over 3,000 varieties many quite rare. This applies to whether you want flowers... More
