Full-Day Trip to Loch Ness and the Scottish Highlands from Edinburgh

555 reviews
Unless you rent a car for the day, getting to Loch Ness from Edinburgh is an arduous task. Escape the city, and travel to the Scottish Highlands with ease on this day trip, ideal for travelers with limited time. Avoid the hassle of navigating rural Scotland’s winding roads, and save your energy for the unspoiled scenery of Great Glen, Rannoch Moor, and Loch Ness. Plus you can also upgrade to include a cruise on Loch Ness.

The last time I was in Callander the Rob Roy story was in an interpretive centre but has now been relocated to behind an antiques shop. It's still worth visiting if you do not know the story of the man and the times in which he lived. If time permits a visit to his grave at Balquidder is also worth it.

Visited here yesterday with my wife whilst on a day trip to Callander. To find this small museum, you firstly have to enter 'Lady Kentmores Antiques' shop. It is a separate section within the premises, which you pay a £1 admission charge to enter. Amongst other things in this small section, there is an audio and visual display of 'Rob Roy'.
