Andy was an absolutely phenomenal tour guide for our recent Europe trip starting with Scotland. He personalized our trip based on interests like movie locations and epic landscapes. While driving us around he gave historical and geographical information, showing passion and excitement about all things Scotland. We felt safe under his care, especially in those tiny single lane country roads.

I highly recommend anyone or group to consider Andy for their trip—he helped make our trip one of our most memorable vacations!

Hi Brian, thanks so much for this great review. It was a pleasure having you both with me, and I was only sorry it wasn't a longer trip. Please come back soon, there are still plenty of locations and geological wonders to see.

We just got back from an amazing vacation and it's in no small part to what a great experience we had with Andrew! We let him know what kind of scenery we were interested in capturing and the amount of knowledge and custom tailoring to our needs went above and beyond. I especially appreciated how much flexibility we were able to have due to changing weather conditions and it truly feels like we made the most of every moment. Andrew would tailor our schedule to our needs when we mentioned that we were interested in specifically filming locations, taking us to places that were in films like James Bond, Harry Potter, and Prometheus.

Overall the trip was amazing, and the vehicle was incredibly well maintained and communication throughout was really a breeze. My husband and I would highly recommend Andrew for making the most out of the incredibly diverse views and landmarks of Scotland. We only had 3 full days and I feel to do the country justice in hindsight I would have budgeted in at least 5-7 days. We will definitely be back!

Andy is the Scottish tour guide you would select if you were casting for a movie role of the same type. However, he is so much more than what he seems on the outside. Andy is very knowledgeable about Scottish history, archaeology, even botany and food. He is fun to share time with. We spent 6 days touring from the east to the west and the northern Highlands. It was terrific! I had an unfortunate injury but he helped me get great care and service from the NHS, so we were able to complete our journey without too many revisions. Although his advice helped us to see some the top castles without having to manage the slippery stone spiral steps. I would recommend others contact Andy for their Scottish travels!

Andy was an excellent guide. Every time I travel, I learn something...and our Tour with Andy solidified my belief that the best way to see a country is to hire a private guide. His knowledge of Scotland (both historical and current) made our trip so enjoyable. He planned a 5 day trip that maximized our time and we got to enjoy Scotland while he drove us in comfort. It didn't feel rushed. We saw the "must see" spots but Andy also took us to places that were unique and so memorable. He was flexible and seemed to find just the right restaurants for us. As a "foodie", that made the trip amazing! This was a trip delayed from April 2020 (we had planned it with Andy back then) and I was so glad to finally see Scotland. From start to finish, it was everything I had hoped our trip would be.

My wife and spent 12 days in Scotland for our 30th anniversary. We started in Aberdeen and worked our way south to Edinburgh. We had a private driver/guide scheduled everyday....or so we thought. After a bumpy first few days with a driver that wasn't really a guide, Andy was assigned to us and he saved and made our entire trip!! Andy is well learned and educated in Scot history, friendly, personable, accommodating, flexible, funny, able to make adjustments and changes on the fly, and committed to making sure his clients have an experience of a lifetime!! Hire him for your next trip to Scotland. Just go ahead and spend the money and hire him. Your going to see much more of Scotland than you ever would trying to do it yourself!
Thank you Andy for making our trip so memorable and we cant wait to see you again!!

Andy stepped in for 2 days of an 8 day trip when our original tour guide was suddenly unavailable. We wish we could’ve had him for our whole trip - what a delight! He was flexible, funny and kind to our intergenerational group (grandma, adult & teenager) earning particularly high marks from my teen ;) Paying close attention to our comfort & interests, he regaled us with his vast knowledge of Scotland’s history and his amazing sense of humor. We met Hamish & Honey (Highland Coos) & toured spectacular Glencoe & the beautiful Isle of Skye with him. He considerately booked lunches ahead every day at delightful little places and of course did all the driving - a request of my mother’s when I originally planned this trip a few years ago. Scotland had been a dream of mine to visit and we were so lucky to have had Andy for a (too) small part of it - In the end, we were all quite sad to leave him. I highly recommend if you want a specialized, super fun tour of Scotland!

Many thanks, Claudia. It was a great trip and I was only sorry it wasn't longer. You were all great fun and I am so glad you got so much enjoyment out of it. You'll be welcome back any time; there's still a lot of Scotland to see, so don't be a stranger!

Andrew is an amazing tour guide! He shared his passion for his country, educating us about Scotland’s history and culture. He accommodated my family’s various interests (no easy feat), showing us castles, quaint villages and breathtaking scenery. By the end of the tour, Andrew felt like family. We were sad to say goodbye and hope to return with Andrew as our tour guide!

My husband and I just returned from a private 6 day tour with Andy. This was the best decision we could have made. Since we had never been to Scotland before we let Andy plan our 6 day tour after giving him our interests. Our tour exceeded our expectations. Andy knows so much about Scotland's history and culture. We traveled from Edinburgh up into the Highlands, Isle of Skye, Loch Ness, Inverness, Culloden, Pitlochry and back to Edinburgh. All the while traveling Andy gave us itinerary options and told us the story of Scotland so that we understood her complex history. Andy did this with his wonderful sense of humor, and knowledge from his studies. He balanced serious stops with fun activities such as whiskey tastings, chocolatier stops and feeding the beloved Hairy Coos.
You would be fortunate to have Andy as your guide. He made our trip to Scotland better than we could have imagined.

Traveled with two friends to Scotland for the first time last month. None of us really wanted to drive & we found Andy, who gave us a proper Scottish adventure. He was knowledgeable, friendly, fun and went above and beyond to make sure everything was alright. We saw quite a bit, had a ton of fun peppering him with questions on our drives through the Highlands & he made us laugh through the whole trip. I can't recommend hiring Andy enough as a tour guide for your trip to Scotland - this certainly took the stress & logistics out of the experience and allowed us to enjoy the whole experience. Looking forward to future trips w/Andy!

You'd be completely daft to visit Scotland without Andy! My friends and I mapped out a rather ambitious list of must-do's for our first trip to Scotland...and yet we were left thinking, "How on earth do we do this on our own?!" While we're all wildly capable, who wants to be fussing with a GPS or reading tour books while trying to remember which side of the road to drive? Enter Andy.

He whisked us up and off we went for four days. We hit all the castles and quaint towns we could manage, plus more charm, wit, history, perspective and HUMOR than we could have hoped to have shared with us!
Castles-AYE! Small batch whiskey (and gin for me) tasting-AYE! Amazing drive through the Scottish Highlands-AYE! Highland COW petting? AYE, indeed! Restaurant recommendations...Loch Ness...Hotel recommendations-ABSOLUTELY. And everything from explanations about Scottish customs to Brexit, even plants, wildlife...and yes, try the haggis!

It was an absolute adventure. No question was dumb, each answer thoughtful. I cannot imagine all the things we would have missed out on had we not had Andy narrating it all to us. THIS IS THE WAY TO SEE SCOTLAND.

Need prestige pics for the 'gram? NP...but don't be fooled...there's so much to see that's not in the tour books and you'll miss them without a native Scotsman to show the way, explain what you're seeing...and its significance. These are the things that build memories that last a lifetime.

Life is short. Take the trip, book the tour, enjoy the ride, company and the laughs. Enough gushing...I'll make him blush...but he deserves it. He made our trip even better than we imagined.

We missed him as soon as he dropped us off. We'll be back to see more of Scotland...and I suggest you book early...because we're sending ALL our friends as well!

Hi Michaelyn, Thank you so much for this review. Believe me, it was a great pleasure showing you all some of Scotland, and I so enjoyed the jokes, the conversations, and your full on and intelligent engagement with my country and its history. You and all your friends will be so welcome when you come. Keep safe, Andy
