Promised my son a trip out on a boat. Only to get there with a sign saying boat hire unavailable until 11. Reason being a lazy member of staff was late. Returned at 11 still no one. Pathetic.

Found this place today, really lovely. Spent about three hours here, had a lovely walk and then lunch in the cafe. The food was wonderful, I had sausage, egg and chips. Plenty of food and good quality, will be back again for sure.

Great walk around the lake , it doesn't sound far but it did take as long as the sign says ,the water sports seemed a bit steep but looked enjoyable

Had a really good 4 mile stroll around the upper lake with 4 year old grandson, followed by a tasty Kelly's ice cream. Had lunch before the walk in the restaurant which was very good. They certainly didn't over charge. We were lucky as we...More
