A Bude Canoe Experience is great fun and excitement canoeing on the lovely Bude Canal, Cornwall! No experience or special clothing required. You will learn the basics of canoe paddling and head off on a canoe journey to explore, see local wildlife, and practice your new canoeing skills. All locations are gorgeous, have a terrific amount of wildlife and interesting history. For more information or to book see our website or contact Paul Clark your guide. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. It was a glorious day. We were taught well how to paddle and work together to control our canoe. We would definitely do this again.

We had lots of fun with Paul on the Bude Canal. It was a great day, helped out by wonderful weather. I'd highly recommend this to anyone, especially people with kids.

Paul led us on a canoeing exped up the canal at Bude. My 11yr granddaughter was initially scared of every manoevre but The excellent instruction by Paul soon had her expertly turning the canoe round, plus forwards and backwards- she got so confident she felt she could stand up in the boat without fear of falling in- believe me , a great leap forward. Paul was so patient and informative in the history and the wildlife along the canal. We felt wed been on a trip with s young David Attenborough. I highly recommend this tour and Paul. Great day, equipment and teaching. Worth every penny.

I'm so pleased you all had a great time, learned lots and of course your granddaughter loosing her inhibitions about being in a canoe. Hopefully she will go one to enjoy lots more canoeing over the years ahead as it is such a great way to get away from it all, explore and see wildlife.

My partner, two children (9 & 11), 7 month old puppy and I had a fantastic trip along Bude canal with Paul. He really tailored the trip to our specific needs, was very knowledgeable and kept the whole morning fun. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

This was a really excellent introduction to gold panning. Paul was immensely attentive and helpful and whilst we didn't find any gold on this occasion, the experience was both fun and informative.

Paul was a perfect guide for the morning.He was very knowledgeable about the history of the canal and the wildlife; an added bonus.The training was enough to give you confidence in the water allowing you to fully enjoy the experience which we certainly did.Thanks Paul real value for money that exceeded our expectations .🙂

Paul was a great guide - very helpful and knowledgeable. The initial talks did go on a bit but were necessary. We all had a wonderful time canoeing - the Bude canoe is beautiful - we were lucky enough to see a water vole. A few great challanges - a great way to spend a couple of hours on the water. Would highly recommend.

I would like to know the cost of this canoe experience and also if you hire out canoes to paddle without the instruction. We have paddled canoes before eg on the River Severn.

All our prices can be found on our website, but are from £35 per person depending on group size.
Unfortunately we do not hire canoes without a guide.

Yes we only do guided canoe experiences. I'm afraid we do not hire out canoes without a guide.

Are dogs allowed at Bude canoe experience, we are looking for things to do whilst camping that we can also take our Springer. Thankyou for any help. L Cornish

Thank you for your enquiry.
No problem if you are on a river torridge trip. However, at Roadford Lake there is a rule that dogs are not allowed 'in' the lake. I'm not sure if in a canoe 'on' the lake would be ok!
