On our last day in Bude, having walked past 'another castle' we decided to give it a go. It was free entry, bonus. Inside a lovely cafe with sea view, and a great exhibition - Bude's history with really interesting photos and exhibits. Definitely worth...More

Nice place to stop while at the beach or visiting Bude, not a real castle, a kind of museum to the town... nice little cafe inside

A stunning view over summerleaze beach from the glass annex. We had very nice tea and cake served by cheerful friendly staff. Interesting gallery of last century images which provided great entertainment.

The cafe here is lovely, it has a small selection of food and has amazing hot chocolate. The view is fab as it overlooks the beach. There are a number of exhibits and it is all free (the coffee shop is very reasonably priced too).

I recently exhibited some paintings at The Castle in the Willoughby Gallery as a member of Bude Art Society. I took a friend along and she enjoyed the exhibition and we then had tea overlooking the sand dunes and canal/river/sea - wonderful!

Worth a visit to know the history of Bude and the surrounding area. The staff are very helpful. There is a cafe with excellent views, however, it was very busy and the tables were not being cleaned, so we decide to have coffee elsewhere.

My sister-in-law got married here last week. It was a perfect location. Very central in Bude. Perfect backdrop for photographs afterwards. The ceremony was intimate and in a beautiful room with art being displayed on the walls.
