About
One and two-day, group workshops run by multi-award-winning glass artist and teacher, Gigha Klinkenborg. Workshops usually run from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm, and the price for an all-inclusive workshop starts from just £75. Enjoy a relaxed, fun, and informal day making stained glass suncatchers, terrariums, tealight holders, stained glass mobiles, bunting, window valance, traditional leaded panels, and kiln fused glass pieces. Suitable for beginners and those with some experience. Workshops are on specific dates. Contact me for availability - booking is essential. On holiday in Devon? Tailored workshops on a date to suit you: One-to-one classes: Best friends/couples day: Friends/family groups: 4-6 people. All workshops include glass, tools, and materials, plus refreshments, tea/coffee biscuits, and lunch.

    A fantastic experience making a window pane from stained glass….now hooked and ready for more.
    After Gigha made our fox window we signed up for a glass workshop to start on two more panes. What a fantastic day we’ve had! Gigha is a superb teacher with lots of patience and creativity. The day went too fast and we can’t wait to return to finish our window pane designs.

    Amazing day as always, lots of helpful tips (which I always need!) my daughter came this time and loved it too! Good atmosphere, nice lunch and plenty of tea and coffee to keep us going!

    Brilliant stay
    Fantastic day learning new skills. So pleased with my finished mirror . Lunch was lovely and the warm welcome made for a very pleasant day. I thought a full day would be too long but time flies when you’re having fun. Thank you so much 💗

    New skill, new addiction!
    I attended the leaded stained glass panel 2 day workshop and had a fantastic weekend. Gigha made me feel very welcome and was a hugely attentive teacher. Having never done anything like this previously she was very reassuring and answered all of my questions around technique and helped me to improve as I learned a new skill. I left feeling a tremendous sense of accomplishment and would highly recommend.

    Gallery visit
    We visited this place to see the gallery and it didn't disappoint. We were fascinated by all the different glass techniques, I didn't know there was so much to make with glass. The were some beautiful things to see (and buy) downstairs and there was even more upstairs plus a lovely teaching studio. I bought a window star suncatcher. The lady chatted to us about all the glass workshops, it was totally fascinating! She served tea and biscuits too, lovely. I have booked one of the Christmas workshops and can hardly wait. We all would highly recommend a visit.

Workshop heaven.

I had a fantastic day.. I came away with a new hobby.. Gigha gives great advice and is also very knowledgable with great creative ideas, very talented lady. The workshop is full of sparkling colours/different shapes of glass to help make our ideas come to life. I am waiting now for my creations to arrive by post, making the whole experience delightful.. Booked again! ready for the Christmas Workshop.

Shameful display of customer service

My daughter had previously enjoyed a great experience with this business , but due to a medical condition was unable to attend her next booked event . We enquired about moving to a different date but we’re met with a personal attack about poor parenting . Others commented on the web site the attack was vile very sad as we are local to this business . We have since moved , thankfully to a much friendlier set up .

Thank you for your comments. I am so glad that your daughter enjoyed a great experience when she came to my workshop. Sadly, your comments bear very little resemblance to what actually occurred. On the occasion to which you are referring, your daughter cancelled less than one hour before the workshop began and asked me if that meant she'd lost the money or if she could come to another workshop instead. As it would have been impossible to fill her place with virtually no notice, I replied that I was very sorry that she was unwell but that I was afraid it did indeed mean she had lost out (as per the terms agreed to at the time of booking). However, as a gesture of goodwill, I offered her a discount on a future workshop. Had you emailed me to explain that she was 17, and was terribly upset to have missed out then I might have been able to do something more for her. Instead, you posted on my social media, calling me shameful and threatening to leave a damaging review like this. Your wife's comments were bad enough for Facebook to delete it all. I am really disappointed that you felt the need to try again to damage my business. Fortunately, I have a loyal customer base and my reputation of many years speaks for itself.

We visited this place to see the gallery and it didn't disappoint. We were fascinated by all the different glass techniques, I didn't know there was so much to make with glass. I had the BEST day! Gigha (the teacher) was very friendly and helpful The lunch was delicious. I made a silly seagull but two others made beautiful flowers. I can’t wait to go again.

One not to be missed

What a fantastic day, my friend and I learnt so much. The host is really knowledgeable and helpful throughout. We came away from the experience thrilled and cannot wait to see the results of our creations once fired.
We have already booked again.
Definitely an experience to be recommended if you are into your arts and crafts. Wonderful.
