About
Located in the stunning landscape of North Devon and only 10 minutes away from the coast, our stunning lake is situated in the beautiful fields and countryside. We are a watersports facility offering: Wakeboarding, Kneeboarding, Ringo rides, Aquapark sessions and paddleboarding. Our aim is to enable everyone to have the best time on the water as possible, from beginner wakeboarders to birthday parties, families and stag and hen do's. We have just been awarded Watersports Centre of the year 2022 from the South West England Prestige awards. We are extremely proud of the smile we manage to put on peoples face and what we want to keep doing.

Went to ND Wakepark for the first time this weekend… and I cannot recommend the experience highly enough! Harry and Joe on the dock were super friendly and actively gave me (as a novice!) tips and advice to improve each time I got on the cable - both of them were eager to help, remembered our names and seemed genuinely invested in each person having a great time! All staff (and all other riders) were really friendly; such a casual yet welcoming environment! (Also a bangin’ hot choc!) Will be back next summer! ☀️

Having never tried Wakeboarding before I was super excited to have the short one on one lesson with a instructor. We were taken to one of the smaller lakes where we could learn the basics of wakeboarding. I was surprised how quickly myself and my partner were able to stand up and the instructor gave us really helpful tips to improve our technique. Following the lesson, we joined the main session (which was running at a slower speed for beginners). The main line was quite different and difficult. Main issue for me was actually getting off the platform into the water on the wire and then getting around the corners. I am not the strongest and I really struggled with the pull on my arms. I most just hit the water coming off the platform. Despite this I had a wicked time and really loved trying something new. My arms ached for about a week afterwards, but it was worth it. Really lovely instructors and the place has a really great vibe. Enjoyed a ice cream and a drink after.

This place is great !
I love the relaxed atmosphere and friendly encouragement and coaching to try new things on the water.
After each session it is lovely to spend time enjoying great food while watching the action on the lake.

Fantastic afternoon at Aqua park. Very cold water, but so much fun! Great activities and location.
Only downside was non refundable lockers after £16pp for ticket and £1 for shower which could be free as well. Otherwise would recommend.

I'm glad to hear you had a fantastic afternoon at the Aqua park. Sorry, the water was cold; it's been between 18-21 degrees all August and typically warmer if the sun is out. Your feedback about the non-refundable lockers and the additional charges for showers is noted. But we thought people would rather these optional charges than the base rate increase. Thank you for recommending it despite these minor downsides. Your input is valuable for future visitors.

Visited last year and loved doing the aqua park course. It doesn’t matter what weather you do it in because your going to get wet anyways, so whatever the weather is great, and we loved spending time here. The food was lovely, and, you can hire your own wetsuits if you don’t have your own already which is great to! Thanks for a lovely time last year! Definitely would come back and recommend to anyone who wants to give it a try!

This is a really good set up, and ideal if you're looking for something to do with the kids on a gloomy/rainy day, as you'll be getting wet anyway. Staff are really polite and helpful, and although we didn't eat there the food looked brilliant.

Couldn't agree more, rain or shine where is a better place than in the water. It sounds like you'll have to come bck just for some food.

A really good half day out! Our three teenagers came home totally worn out and happy!
The staff were very helpful and teaching of wake boarding was supportive, kind and unpatronising. The park is clean and generally friendly and a nice place to spend the day.The only minor comment was the pizza and one member of staff. Though really tasty, the pizza was incredibly soft with so much melted cheese that hadn't crisped up yet making it delicious but impossible to pick up so you had to virtually roll it! The light haired young lady making the pizzas very kindly offered a replacement when I mentioned it to her later as my card hadn't gone through and she came over to find us. She brought us a second one to us which we really appreciated. Unfortunately the second one was the same. Not sure if it is just the pizza oven which makes it difficult to cook the top more?
The only other downside to our experience was the other young woman in the pizza place who was a tad sarcastic to me twice during our visit. Once when I went to pick the first pizza up and realized it would be difficult to lift off the board because it was so soft and I asked for a plate or knife, the second when trying to find a place that end of the park to recycle a bottle. I left it on the pizza stand thinking it was better than throwing it in the bin as there were no recycling bins that end and we were in a hurry to get to the activity that end. She shouted to me out of the pizza hut that "did I want her to bin it for me?". My friends who overheard her said they thought she was being really quite rude and out of order. Shame she let the place down. Her colleagues were quite the opposite. The young woman in the coffee shop was also great and consistently polite and friendly throughout the afternoon..
Other than that I would the recommend the park wholeheartedly.

It's great to hear your teenagers had a good half-day out and came home happy! The supportive and kind wakeboarding instruction, as well as the overall cleanliness and friendliness of the park, are positives and what we strive to achieve.
However, I understand the concern about the pizza. It's thoughtful that the young lady tried to address the issue, even though the second one had the same problem. We apologise for the way she came across and will discuss this further with her. We are proud of all of our staff and hope they would never intentionally be rude to any of our fabulous customers.

We have been coming to NDWP for the summer for a number of years now, and I can honestly say our love for the place only gets stronger every year. This is all down to the amazing staff. Even in the height of season all the staff go out their way to make time for you, and they are always welcoming and friendly. In regards to wakeboarding the coaches are second to none, ensuring that every ride you make more and more progress. The coaches are encouraging and supportive , and our progress and confidence boarding has increased ten found since riding at NDWP. Off the water you can enjoy some fabulous food from the eatery, or we can highly recommend a freshly prepared pizza from the stone oven! For a fantastic day out, and for a great experience all around, this is a must for anyone who wants to have some fun on the water or just sit back and watch the action.

A fantastic place for a day out with a number of water based activities. Good value for money and coaching included on the wakeboarding. Family run business and all the staff our fab and so helpful. Book in advance to avoid disappointment. Great food and refreshments available. I would thoroughly recommend visiting.

We had an amazing time at the wake park while on holiday; we went for the half day package which was beginner wakeboarding, ringo rides and the aquapark.
The staff were brilliant from when we arrived, explaining how the day would work, sorting wetsuits, instruction for the brave and not so brave among us, everything was perfect. Even when one of our group had a flare up of an old injury while wakeboarding, they looked after him amazingly. We had the best time, and while the aquapark was a step too far for me personally (!) the kids loved it and we are looking at wakeboarding and paddleboarding options as a family now we are back home from holiday. I would highly recommend having a go if you have never done it before and would most certainly return when we are back in the area again.

The half day package is always amazing and we are so happy you enjoyed it.
Hopefully you can find somewhere near home that you can continue wakeboarding, but in the meantime we look forward to seeing you next time you're in Devon.
