Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had Sunday lunch here today , omg what a disaster of a meal it was cold roast beef 1 tiny Yorkshire pudding that was stodgy bottom all claggy ,a tiny pot of cold peas cold broccoli and something that resembled cauliflower swimming in white liquid … I can honestly say that’s the most horrendous meal I’ve ever been served , I asked politely if it could be warmed up , she took it away left the cauliflower cheese behind and was gone at least 15 mins which was fine but the cauliflower cheese was now cold too and when it arrived back , yes you’ve guessed still cold , I left the full meal and just left the pub would never eat there again , the beef looked tender and the two roast potatoes where hot at least I suppose but at £ 17.00 each just terrible and nobody came and checked was it ok either , they didn’t even know what was on the menu when we first asked … very very disorganised .

Good range of real ale and real ciders . Good music Thurs from 1.00 pm, and some evenings, plus good Sunday lunches, and comedy nights, wine tasting, cocktail nights.

Lovely place. Doesn't pretend to be something it isn't! Good food, staff and beer. Had Sunday lunch- reasonable price and homecooked.

Very friendly. Outdid our expectations. Tapas, not the usual Spanish type. We had everything on the menu.
Quiet well run pub. Don't have the Scotish Cider. It was grim.

We had a table booked for a Sunday lunch. Very friendly greeting from the staff. We weren’t waiting long for my husbands starter to arrive which he said was very good. The main course, I had Chicken, my husband had Lamb which came with beautiful roasted carrots & parsnips, roast potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower cheese and a lovely large Yorkshire pudding and delicious gravy. Pudding was (for me) a Cadbury flake and vanilla cheesecake, hubby had lemon curd cake, they were delicious.
The whole dining experience was one we intend to do again and would definitely recommend others to give it a go too.

Absolutely fantastic Sunday lunch 😋 roast beef to die for gorgeous fresh veg - especially roasties and cauliflower cheese - and lovely romantic setting.
All for £10 each!!
One of the best Sunday lunches we've had for a very long time
Service first class too ❤

Great atmosphere. New kennel, great venue. Been to the cheese board night. 5 cheeses and able to choose bottle of port or wine, plus plenty of biscuits and pickles etc to compliment the cheese. Value for money. Recommend for a great friendly pub night out.
