Booked to play Aboyne as a weekend of golf with friends and it certainly did not disappoint. The whole day was fabulous from our arrival and coffee in the magnificent clubhouse to playing a fantastic course with challenging holes and beautiful scenery. Full marks to all staff from the pro shop, the clubhouse staff and most importantly the green keeping staff for a giving us a fantastic enjoyable day. We hope to come back again soon.

A definite hidden gem!
Sep 2021 • Friends
One of the courses we play every year on our annual golf trip early September to aberdeenshire, we absolutely love it! Always a friendly welcome from staff and golf course in excellent condition, although fairly short in yardage very challenging especially back nine, lots of dog legs and undulations. Definitely a hidden gem, plus if your not playing well just admire the stunning views in this beautiful part of Scotland.

A good course with great views

Lovely club house, and friendly staff.
Greens were in good condition, 10,11, and 12 a bit of a climb but worth it.
Sadly we got rained off after 13 holes but the club gave us an alternative date for a free return for 9 holes.

Royal Deeside Golf Week
Jul 2021
16th year of playing in what was the Deeside Classic and is now called the Royal Deeside Golf Week.
A challenging 72 hole Stableford Competition played at Braemar, Aboyne, Banchory and Ballater.
Didn't see an osprey on Aboyne Loch this year but heard the yellow hammer singing 'little-bit-of-bread-and-no-cheese' (a Scottish version is apparently 'deil-deil-deil-tak ye'

Aboyne a golf course worth playing.
Jul 2021
Played Aboyne for the first time as part of the Royal Deeside Golf week. Really enjoyed the course, it was a game of two halves, the front nine lovely parkland, immaculate greens, and the halfway house was just a treat, the back nine was an adventure which was also great and in excellent condition. The clubhouse was our favourite of the week with really helpful and friendly staff and great food. Would definitely recommend Aboyne as a club worth playing.

Great Day in Aboyne
Jul 2021
I played the course with two friends on 26th July as the first day of the Royal Deeside Golf Week. It provided a perfect start to the week. We got a great welcome from everyone. The course was in excellent condition, and it was a good challenge, with two distinctly different elements to it. The lower part of the course was lovely parkland, and then after the ninth, there was the higher (and trickier) part - for me at least. Thoroughly enjoyed it though.
The Clubhouse facilities were excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. All in all a great experience, and we are already planning a return trip next year.

We played Aboyne Golf Course as part of the Royal Deeside Golf Week. The well kept course and clubhouse offered a great round of golf, despite not playing well the course was beautiful.
